My little sister had one of these when she was a baby and I always thought it was kind of cool, so I was pleasantly surprised to see they're still available (and in pretty colors!) But it's not just my weird attraction to toys that look like "math and science" speaking - my baby loves this thing.Even when she was barely 3 months old just learning to grab things, this toy was easy for her to handle, and it's still one of the first things she'll reach for. She likes shaking it around, chewing on the ends, plucking the elastic, stretching and squishing it. Lately she's been trying to grab it with her toes. And do you know what? She can, because it's that easy to grab and hold on to.One thing I love about this toy is that the wooden beads make a soft, musical rattle that SOUNDS REALLY NICE. Sounds without being annoying = winning.

My son started loving this at 3 months old. A great early grasper, and also entertaining as babies learn cause/effect because the beads make a pleasant rattle sound as they slide. We have the popular o-ball as well, which is comparable for early grasping, however the skwish is superior because babies can put the beaded ends into their mouths which is very satisfying for their senses, whereas the o-ball is smooth and there is nothing to put in their mouth (this frustrated my baby immensely). It’s a pleasant toy to look at, it seems durable, and it’s larger than expected but still lightweight for the earliest grasping. My older children (4 & 2 years old) enjoying squishing it and so do I. It is worth the price and I will repurchase for friends!

We all love this toy! I thought it looked cool after youtubing some videos of it, so decided to go ahead and buy one. Me and my husband played with it for a little while before even giving it to our daughter. She was about 4months when we gave it to her, and the first day she was amazed, spent the whole day playing with it.This toy is awesome because theres so many places she can easily grab it, and theres tons of wooden knobs, so it's easy for her to find one and get it in her mouth. She loves chewing on the knobs! It also makes lots of click clacking noises as it's being tossed around. She loves playing fetch with us with this thing, and she can toss it FAR! Now she smiles and kicks her feet in excitement when we're handing the toy to her.Great simple toy!

I purchased one for my baby a year ago and we have loved it. Very great quality and has held up well. However, I just recently purchased another one for a friend and it arrived broken in the box. Had to return for a refund because there wasn’t time to get a replacement before the baby shower. Overall, I’d say it is a great product, just probably got a random bad one.

What a hit with the adults!I offered this as a Christmas gift to the 6 mo old baby of my friend. It was THE gift at the party. The baby didn't really play with it, because she slept, but the adults LOVED it. The rattle was not left alone the whole Christmas dinner.On the other hand, I have two children and each had their own wooden version of this rattle (in the original color). The pastel looks nicer, softer... . My children loved it from the time they were babies until toddlerhood. It was the first toy they could grab, and it was the first one they could throw. We also bought the plastic version. Both versions had equal success. Neither child managed to break any of the elastics or pop any of the wooden balls throughout the years of use/chew/pull/throw (that was my fear), and the toys are still sitting in their rooms now. I don't want to part with them. They are too cool!
