Not really made for guitar and vocals
I got the Nady U -2100 with a headset mic and a cable for guitar. It’s clear this unit wasn’t designed for this. Both outputs are XLR - so you need a cable to get from XLR to 1/4” mono if you want to plug your guitar into an amplifier or pre-amp. The headset mic is a condenser and can’t be used with a drummer or any situation other than ‘conference’ volume. You need to use a dynamic Mic for this, but also a cable is required with a capacitor to cut off the voltage feed to the condenser - a Sennheiser CM1 cable will do the trick. The case and the battery packs are plastic and quite flimsy - but that’s reflected in the price. Overall it’s a well performing unit for presentation and church - for live music? Not so much.

Too bad, got me excited but it was a defective unit
I ordered the instrument/headset mic combo.. I'm a guitarist who sings, and would've been floored if it actually worked.I was very disappointed when I set it up.Followed the instructions/manual 'to the T', and the headset simply wouldn't work. Kept making a 'crackling noise'..I'm afraid it will damage my home PA.I suspect it might have been a 'defective' unit, too bad. If it worked, it would probably last me a few months at the most...but we'll never know. I decided to just save my money til I can buy the Shure PG31 headset system, it seems sturdier.

This lady system works very well. It picks up the volume from your voice much better than others that I have tried, even from the company s h u r e.

Great Value - Good Results
While I have only had the Nady U-2100 for a short time, the set up was easy and the sound from the microphone and guitar was excellent. I have not tested the range of the unit yet, however, I think it represents great value in this category of wireless equipment.
