These work as intended and were exactly what I wanted for my setup.I wanted less distortion at high volume and plus most of the bass was being sent to the subwoofer. I put them on the 6.5s in my doors on my 2000 single cab Chevrolet Silverado. Easy to install after watching some YouTube videos.

Worked as intended.Bass blockers don't actually "block" the frequencies, rather it's just a high-pass filter... meaning it attenuats each octave by -6db(most are -6db)so 200 hz would be the starting point, so it would be a -0db100hz > -6db50hz > -12db25hz > -18dbI hope thay helps yall, I bought these and was confused when it didn't block everything... but then I did some research and learned allat.

A stock head unit has very limited power. Typically 10-15w per channel at the most. When you add a subwoofer and amplifer that power is usually several hundred watts.That 10-15w is more effective when the head unit does not have to try to reproduce the low frequencies that demand the majority of it's power. You block them and that power goes into the mid and high frequency. You get a much clearer and smoother output that works much better with suboofer bass.

Really Don't make much of a difference - they will reduce the volume of bass that's all... but they DO NOT cut the frequencies below what they are rated at..Still have bass coming through 6x9's and cone still moves.. have tried skar audio and these... they all seem to do about the same thing... stock power off stock head unit.. 15 w each speakerWould recommend just getting a small amp to cut frequencies and doing a full system don't wasste your time with any of these.
