KFCFirelog 5 Pounds with 11 Herbs and Spices

We were so excited to use this on our campus this past weekend but despite the scent this log had before even opening the box, there was no smell noticed at all during the actual burn. We were all very disappointed and it definitely wasn't worth the money spent.

Still waiting to burn this baby but when I do I think I will have to get a 3 piece feed to compare the smell

I got this as a house warming gift for a friend that loves KFC. He thinks it’s hilarious…his wife not so much. They are currently working out negotiations on If and Where the log can be burned. I can say it has a strong smell, hence the debate on where to burn the log. Discussion are around if the smell will ever get out of the house, will burning it outside attract wild dogs or Sasquatch. So, is it funny Yes, does it smell like you shoved your face in a KFC cooker Yes, should you ever really burn it… that’s a maybe.

When this gem arrived I stored it I’m garage until we used it on our camping trip. The garage smelled like fried chicken. It came time to go camping. I packed the van, making sure this wonderful fire log was one of the first things I packed. The 2 hour drive to the Adirondacks was a very aromatic experience. The van smelled like the inside of a KFC restaurant. God I wanted to eat some KFC. The weather was rainy so the log was stashed in the fire bin for a few days. Every time I uncovered it I turned into Homer Simpson saying “Mmmmm, fried chicken!” Finally a clear night. Time to light this baby. I let the bag with a match. Hmm. Not much happened. Ok, the torch will light this thing. Hmm. Ok, maybe a little kindling will help. That got it going. One it was on fire it burned very nice. And yes, YES, it did smell like, chicken! Well, when the breeze would waft you’re way anyways.All in all, it was well worth the money. The packaging is funny, the smell is there! If you burn it inside in a fireplace, I imagine the smell probably all goes up the chimney, but for an outdoor campfire it is noticeable!Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a hankering for some KFC and need to go there ASAP!
