I ordered this and they sent me a different one in the box that was labeled this one. Probably a shipping error. I am waiting for the one I ordered to come in. BTW. The one they sent me was excellent! It was the wrong light very bright with a tight spot attern. Seems to run very cool with the size heat sink the leds are in. I would keep this one except I am hoping the one I ordered is brighter because it has more LEDs. They are very nice and are taking it back and sending me the correct one. No extra charge but very inconvenient for me. SO i received the correct light today as they said I would a no extra charge. They trust me to send back the one they sent in error. That is very trusting of them. I'm an honest guy and will ship it out for them. The light is everything and more that I expected. Trust me and buy this light. I got the 8 cell battery which is huge and the 5 led lamp. Also not shown is the strap to mount it on your head. I will take the straps of the mount and mount it to my helmet with a different strap system. This lamp is not one of those light single led Majicshine lights that don't shine much. This light is as bright as the headlights on your car!!! nice wide enough beam so you aren't sending a blinding spot beam on the trail in front of you that blinds your peripheral vision. The light isn't that WHITE light either. Its a softer color thats a little more natural and works better in the woods on leaves and trees. Another great observation is that it doesn't get burning hot because of the huge housing the leds are in. The housing is a functional heat sink with the deep grooved fines going all the way around the housing. I love the quality of both the battery and the light. Also, there is a nice top button on the lamp instead of the back where its always hard to reach. Easier to push the button on the top. There is two brightnesses. High and low. No annoying flasher. No rear light for the traffic behind you. I don't need it as I am not riding on the road at night. Besides, i always have two lights running in case one dies out I don't end up in total darkness. The other light i have has the rear LED and flasher if I need one. Buy this light. But also pick up a second single LED for back up. The picture of this system doesn't due it justice.

I just recently purchased this light and external battery set combination. From what I can tell immediately following the unboxing can be summed up in two simple words: false advertisement. The description clearly indicates the battery is supposed to be a "8.4 v 8000mAh" yet what I actually received was a very large and overly bulky 7.4v 4800mAh battery. Fortunately I followed the advise of my fellow reviewers and bought an extra 8.4v. Oddly enough, the extra battery turned out to be what it claimed to be (thank goodness) and is about half the weight and size of our alleged 8.4v. Exactly what these guys are trying to pull is beyond me. I feel cheated as a consumer to put it plain. NOT to mention, if the company was willing to lie about the voltage of the battery, what else isn't what they claim it to be?With that said, the light is fully functioning and frankly the cost of it isn't worth the hassle of making the return. So far from a short, walk around test run, the light does work and throws a fairly substantial beam. I'll have to do a follow up review once I strap it to the bike for a fun night ride.Conclusion: for the price and what you get it seems to beworth it, am I pleased with the overall experience heck no. Buy at your own risk we're dealing with some shysters.

is very good lighting, only negatives are battery pack wires broke where pack meets wires and light could use a better attachment to the bike, every little bump jostles the light, would be a 5 star if it had a better mount and a better battery pack....light itself is awesome.

Super bright! I love this light - if you aren't a weight weenie then you will be happy with this light. I wouldn't suggest it if you are trying to be super light but if you want to get yourself out of the woods after staying too long after dusk then this will do the job. It will get you through about an hour of riding on the brightest setting but it will die without warning - just light then no light! I am buying a second one for my boyfriend.

Bright for the money. Battery last 3-4 Hrs on bright. Light and small. The cons are that the power cable that comes out of the light is located in the front of the light making it awkward for a headlamp.

Very bright... Have had this for over a year terrific light. Only draw back is the mount. I rigged it to a reflector mount so that it wouldn't slide down on the trails.

This light does well in the mountains. I was expecting better from a claimed 6000 LM but it's pretty decent. I'll probably buy another to put on the other side of my handlebars.

I find the light a bit heavy when mounted on the helmet. but the amount of light is superb and when on the steering wheel, shines like an H4 car light
