Really a great read. Pulls you in the first couple of pages. Great characters as well. I highly recommend this book and all the others from this talented author too. They are very fun to read.

Bad Tidings is an enjoyable murder mystery tale and engaging detective yarn as we try to figure out how and why a dead body was found on the beach of a quiet resort town in Louisiana. The appearance of a second body only makes matters more complicated. The story line revolves around the 'what really happened?' angle as the authorities try to piece together an apparent murder from the few clues they have. The involvement of a government agent in the case familiar with international criminals adds another layer of mystery to the story.Robert Coburn's writing style is never tedious, enabling the reader to become engaged from the first page. Put on your amateur detective hat and see if you can piece together the clues and determine who really did what - and why?
