Wow!! This stuff is amazing.
The media could not be loaded. Just make sure you prep whatever you are painting very well and apply very heavy and even coats and make sure you use a heat gun and it will come out perfect!!

Be sure to apply heavy coats
The media could not be loaded. I cleaned up my 3.4L 5vz-fe engine valve covers extremely good with a wire wheel and wire brush. Then I cleaned the surface with brake cleaner and masked off some of the ports/holes with blue masking tape and cut out the shape with a razor blade. The temperature outside was 93° When I painted these with a little wind. From my research it sounds like the best results for this stuff is when it can bake or be outside in the sun on a hot day. Most of us won’t want to put these in an oven that we will eat from so the other option is a heat gun. I recommend 3-4 HEAVY coats. My last (4th) coat wasn’t as heavy as the first 3 and some spots you can tell it’s not perfectly even. But overall it looks pretty consistent with texture. The imperfections will be covered by engine components so it will be hard to tell the imperfections once installed again. Photos and video was taken approximately 3 hours after first coat. I waited 5-10 minutes between coats.

A Wrinkle in Mine
This is my second time using using VHT Wrinkle and I'm pretty happy with the results. There are quite a few video tutorials on how to use this stuff, but the best one said to heat gun the bare metal first. Then heat gun after each coat for about 5 minutes. The trick is to have a lot of even heat and even paint on the project. I think mine came out pretty decent considering I was doing it in 60 degree weather. My only gripe is that my can had a sticky nozzle and that would disrupt my spray pattern. My attached photos show tiger striping. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking to really dress up their engine bay.
