Weak hold
This is a bright light and it comes with a pressure switch option. The wrench didn't fit and even after thread lock it won't stay on my Mossy 500 12 GA. Needs some work on the holding screws.

So Far...So Good
I ordered and received two of these lights and so far have been very pleased with them. They were packaged very well and provided everything needed to mount them to a weaver rail. One thing I did not realize is that the flashlights are just under 5 3/4 inches from the top to bottom. This could be a problem if you are mounting this in an area where there is not a lot of room. Additionally, the mount does not have a bar or anything running across the weaver mount to keep it from sliding. I think it shouldn't be a problem if you really tighten it down, but I had some extra and better mounts laying around that I decided to use.On using the light, if you are using the back cap as the power switch, it toggles from steady to strobe to off. However, if you are using the supplied pressure switch, it alternates from solid to strobe so you could push it on solid, then store it away. Then, next time you push it, it will be on strobe. Overall they seem to be of good quality and I always remove my lights before shooting unless I am practicing in low light so I don't know how well they will hold up to shock and vibration.Lastly, the light out of these things is perfect. There is no dark spot at all in the middle and the light has a little blue to it. Additionally, it is significantly brighter than my Streamlight TRL-1 LED light that I paid double for. At night, this will definitely cause temporary blindness and disorientation. So, if you can get over the size issue, they seem to be the perfect light for $50.

Great for the price
Mounted this on my Mossberg 500. This light seems solidly built and very bright! Was able to illu inate my entire backyard, and four houses down the street. The strobe is a nice tiouch as well and I like the fact that it comes with two backplates for handheld use (on/off) and ab wired pressure switch.I've used Surefires in Iraq and Afghanistan (on the Army's dime) and I love them. But for my own weapons (and money) the minimal difference is not worth the drastic price difference.

This flashlight failed with my shotgun
I purchased the 3W LED Strobe Tac Light in March, 2010. At first, I was extremely satisfied with the light's intensity and strobe function. I mounted it to a 12 gauge shotgun for use as a home defense firearm. The light worked fine after I shot 100 rounds through the shotgun with the light attached. However, I recently took the shotgun back out and fired 200 rounds through it, still with the light attached. The light stopped working. I tried replacing the batteries, to no avail. I called customer service in November, 2011. The gentleman in customer service informed me that the one year warranty expired, so a refund was out of the question (obviously). However, if I sent Combat Optical a check for $10, they would mail me a new light. I declined, mostly because I don't want to pay another $10 for a new light that will fail down the road. I am going to use that money as a jumping off point to buy a more reliable tactical light. If you want to buy a flashlight to mount to a shotgun, you might want to avoid Combat Tactical's products.

not bad for price.
Product is good for price, installed on AR-15 side rail easily, light's brightness is alright nothing spectacular (LED still brighter than normal bulb), switch works fine. One big problem I have with the light is that every other time you click it on it goes to strobe mode witch is anoying, most lights that have that feature require a fast double click to strobe this one goes to strobe every other click regardless of time between clicks. For the price not bad but realy hate the way the strobe function works and for that wouldnt buy another.

Great light but has some issues.
I bought this light for my 18" Maverick 88 and mounted it on the Layserlight tri mount rail system. It works great. The light seems to be made well and the mount locks on tight. The beam, at 110 Lumens is pretty bright especially for its price point. I thought that this was a great deal when I first came across this light. Now that I've had time to play with it for awhile, I've found a few things I don't care for: It's a little annoying to have to cycle past the strobe function when you're turning it on and off a lot. Also, the cord for the pressure switch is too short to reach the pistol grip and way too long to use on the forgrip. For this reason I don't use it, witch was disappointing. This is a decent tac light and a great flashlight for the money, but it seems that for $20-30 more I can get one with 200+ lumens that's a little smaller.

Can't be beat for the money - or double the money
We have two 12 gauge 870 tactical shotguns as home defense weapons. I bought one of these and installed it on mine. I liked it so much I bought another and put it on my wife's gun.My god they are bright, plus the strobe function is just crippling to look at in a dark room. The thing is very solid, all metal and the mount is really nice as well. I tightened them all down and added a little blue loctite and have no worries about them coming loose.I would highly recommend these to anyone. I don't think you could beat it for twice the money.

Very bright very tough(minus remote switch)
They remote corded switch it comes with is GARBAGE! my broke after the first shot! However, the light is very bright with the regular push button switch it also comes with and I have not been able to break it. I have this on a Mossy 590. I've put probably over 200 rounds with it attached and it still works good. I wish the company would send me more switches. Anyways, very bright light, wish it would focus a little wider, but very bright for the money. If you put this on a shotgun or rifle it will definitely illuminate your target. Would I buy it again? eh I'd probably shop around and see if there was anything in the same price range that looked more convincing and if there wasn't I would buy it again. It's a bright light!
