Redmi Note 10 Pro Max (Dark Night, 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage) -108MP Quad Camera | 120Hz Super Amoled Display

I am glad I didn't get a faulty product as mentioned by few reviewers which made me bit skeptical while purchasing but I still went for it because Mi service is good in India being no.1 smartphone brand from market share perspective.Coming to review of phone, following important points which make me feel the purchase decision was perfect:1. Weight and thickness of phone: It feels light as well rugged when holding in hands, moreover the phone is quite thin which doesn't make us feel like holding a brick.2. Display: I would suggest to keep display at 120Hz itself because the phone (or maybe its software) is created in such a way that if you use it at 60 Hz, you are definitely going to see trails of texts when scrolling. Note that even at 120Hz the battery isn't fading fast. The sAMOLED display is really good. I got this phone for my mother who likes to watch videos on phone and she was pleasantly surprised when she watched videos in this phone. The LED screen really ups the video viewing experience (bundled with the stereo speaker about which I have detailed ahead).3. Sound: The stereo speaker console given in this phone is awesome. For those who don't know, stereo output is only possible if there are 2 speakers given and it helps in developing a surrounded sound effect (the one we get in theaters, TVs and with our music systems). The stereo speakers have enough decibel output because of which you can listen to sounds clearly. Phone ringing loudness is nice, you can easily hear your phone ringing in crowd if you keep the phone on highest volume and have a good ringtone.4. Build quality: Definitely looks and feels premium when holding in hand or when using it too. However, 1 thing which could have been a plus in this phone would be a gorilla glass protection at back and on camera panel as well. Currently, only screen has gorilla glass protection and not back panel, back panel is made of basic glass only which only gives good feel while holding and good looks when seeing. Even, MiA3 has it so it was not something which could not have been given in this phone.5. Performance: Ok, this is something which you can skip if you are a gamer and are looking for details of how laggy or non laggy the phone is while playing games. For day to day use, like watching videos, surfing FB, msging on WhatsApp and playing basic games like candy crush, Sudoku, etc. this phone doesn't give any lag (very obvious at the given specifications). I tried playing a racing game on this phone using the gyroscope sensor of phone and it was a good experience without any lag in the play.6. Battery life: Almost 2 days! Yes with normal usage and even using the phone as a hotspot, it is going over 1.5 days. Further charging from 1% to 100% takes less than an hour (when using the 33W charger which comes with phone). When the charging starts you can see the phone charging at rate of 0.05% per sec however as the charge approaches near 100% this drops to 0.01% per sec.Overall experience of this phone is good till now. Will update in case I face any major hiccups while using it in coming days.

This is my honest review after using this for 4 months.Coming to pros1. The screen is good fit for those who continuously watches screen for more than 3 or 4 hours, coz I didn't felt any irritation or pain on my eyes while I'm a person who gets headache or eye pain when watching the display for a long duration.2. The phone is light weight. You couldn't feel it have a 5000 mAh battery.3. Camera is good, but I don't think it's not upto the mark for 108 mp. Better choose redmi note 10 pro, you can save 3k atleast.4. Refresh rate is good .5. Processor is also good. It's not hanging until now.But I felt lots of cons for this phone.Exactly after the third month , my phone became suddenly dead. It was not charging,not overheated, I simply placed it in my table and when tried unlocking it's not waking up. I googled and tried some methods but didn't worked out. The service centre guy said it's coz of the software issue which came after trying to update the new installation. But honestly I didn't installed the new update ,and previously I made the autoupdation off as well.The guy said during the updation , the older packages will be flushed out and new packages will be installed, and any interruption to the internet connectivity will make it go error. So he guessed it may be because of my internet interruption during the installation. But guys I'm damn sure I didn't even got an update notification, and even if it's auto updating it will only after a reboot. Anyway I got my motherboard changed covering my guarantee and taking 3 weeks of time to get it changed.The other daily issues I had felt is1. It's telling battery is 5000mAh, but backup is only we can say for a 4200mah battery.2. recording calls will make the other person alert as well.3. while capturing screenshot in dark mode,it will make the picture greyish color.So if you need any colourful screenshot you need to make the screen to light mode.4. proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor, accelerometer everything is working fine,but whenever I try to hear a whatsapp audio message during night, the screen became suddenly off. It will only wakeup after finishing the entire voice clip,and you could hear the voice in a very low volume that time. I don't know which sensor is creating issue. May be because of my back cover ,donno, I didn't tried taking it off and hearing voice. Anyway some hindrance is there.5. Usually mobile phones have the option to adjust the volume while playing a video in phone's default player by scrolling finger up and down in screen's right side . But for this phone everytime I have to press the volume button and then adjusting. But it will work for apps installed from playstore.

The 120Hz Amoled display is beautiful. I do not use the camera much, but the 108MP camera performs decent in low light conditions. The macro camera is not amazing. Gimmicks like clone, slow motion and long exposure are pretty cool. There are a couple of bugs with MIUI such as the notification layout being messed up for some apps. I would have loved an in-screen fingerprint display, but the side mounted fingerprint reader is pretty sweet too. Overall, a pretty good phone for the average user.

It has been 2 years 11 months, going great without any trouble. Battery performance has come down. But a good product.

The phone is great. Not the best phone but a great starter phone at a reasonable price.
