Gorgeous piece!
This desk did not disappoint! It is so beautiful!I read the reviews re: tricky assembly, so I paid close attention to the instructions and the online photos as I assembled it. Even with close attention, I had to disassemble a couple areas and redo them, but it wasn't terrible. I stripped one screw, but extras were included. The pieces are excellent quality and came together well, all the holes lined up, the hardware was appropriate and abundant, screwdriver was included, and the component pieces were packaged really well. There was a little goo on a couple of the wood pieces, but it wasn't terrible either.Take your time while assembling and you will have a gorgeous, quality, finished piece.I love this desk and highly recommend it; I would buy it again. Shipping was really fast as well.

Good Quality for Price, Assembly Instructions sub-par.
Really, an excellent quality for the price, as others have said. The finish on the wood pieces is slightly textured, so more like sanded down wood than a completely flat plastic sheet. Just to be clear, the top and shelves are wood, (well, particle board but well finished); the supports are metal. Comes with cute but serviceable screwdriver and multitool. Also of note, the top shelves and desktop are supported underneath by the metal frames, but the bottom shelves under the desktop are supported by screws, they do not sit on top of the metal frame.Assembly Instructions are challenging. 2 1/2 hours for me to assemble, and I've done more than a few of these kinds of things. I did get it together the first time though, and it seems very sturdy all assembled. From the instructions: "Don't tighten screws completely at first . . . Tighten screws at last when all parts are put together."--generally useful advice, but not specifically helpful. Everything else is just pictures, BUT hole alignments are not part of the pictures on parts that otherwise seem reversible; this is the one feature of the instructions that is super unhelpful and makes it super confusing. That being said, the holes are well drilled and aligned, the hardware is plentiful and overstocked, and tools are included (screwdriver is even magnetic). The desktop is even shipped with corner protectors. This kit is well prepared for assembly, it's just the printed instructions that are a bit lacking.Assembly wise I will offer two bits of advice on the instructions for those of you who do not mind spoilers:1. When assembling the uprights 8,9,10, &11, if you leave 9 and 10 until after you start assembling the 13's it all goes together easier that way. 2. The whole top support system doesn't "align" correctly until you install shelf 3. This is the last step, so completely tightening down the upper supports to the desktop before you finish the assembly of the upper shelves is specifically unhelpful for that reason. Good Luck!

Super desk, especially for the price
Great price. Great quality. Instructions could be better. (If a bar has 2 holes on one side and 1 hole on the other the instructions should specify which end you are putting where. You have to guess or deduce by reading ahead. Once you realize this and accept it install goes okay. The desk is perfect for me. I love the uniqueness. I'm not sure why some people don't like the quality.

Great desk!
I purchased this desk as a gift for my son. He’s over 6 feet tall and he loves it. It gives him plenty of storage and was easy to assemble. It didn’t take up a lot of space in his studio apt. It looks pretty against a brick wall.

Assembly
This is a very nice and tall desk, but the assembly was pretty dang bad. I forgot to post these pictures to the reviews here, so hopefully it helps somebody. Best things to know is to make sure you orientate the bars correctly. It can be a huge huuuge hassle to disassemble everything because you put it facing the wrong way. Otherwise, try your best. I think it took me 3 hours to put together, but I enjoy the desk even still today.

Take your time putting together!!!
I LOVE LOVE this desk!! It fits in my space perfectly, but make sure when you put it together do NOT tighten everything down at first. The reviews do warn that the directions are not clear and they aren't. There's lots of guessing involved but my hubby got it together pretty good. And for the gammers be warned the tower shelf will not let you have both shelves put in cuz the tower won't fit. But other then that worth the money.

Looks good BUT terrible instructions
The instructions were at best terrible. Have an extra hand available for putting this desk together.Better yet have a structural engineer handy. After all was said and done, we love it.

Terrible assembly ruins any value or convenience.
Overall, this desk took me nearly 5 hours to assemble because of pieces not properly lining up and terrible instructions. There are NO holes listed in the pictures, so you're completely in the dark as to which direction to assemble. Halfway through, I found out that I've got to pretty much disassemble half of what I did because I can't access a screw hole. I strained and hurt my wrist, elbow, and shoulder trying force this furniture together. It definitely looks nice, but the exhausting and overly complicated effort I had to put into assembly all but ruins any value or convenience in the piece.I reached out to customer service on their website; it said that someone was available to chat. I told them I needed help putting the desk together and that the instructions were not complete. They were not polite or helpful and just told me "Send an email to (email address)". No greeting, no apology for the problems I was having, no attempt at any conversation whatsoever. I politely asked if they could let the person over email know to look out for my email so that I could receive assistance and the person in the chat never replied and I waited an hour and had no reply to my email, not even an automated one confirming that my email was received. The company has preview videos of their furniture on their YouTube so its odd to me that they've had so many complaints about assembly and can't be bothered to put up simple tutorials for their products. Highly recommend avoiding anything from this company.
