A great wax unit and easy to use
I bought this to try wax beads for the first time. I’m not a professional user. I’ve used honey in the past but my old unit wouldn’t melt the wax beads and I found that honey wasn’t pulling my hairs. This far exceeded my expectations! I start it at 190 to heat up and then turn it down to 150. Wax melted quickly and I found that 150-154 is perfect for spreading the wax without burning.Just to make sure to spread plenty of the blue wax bead wax to the area. 45 seconds later just pull. Love this unit!

Works great
I have had different wax pots over the years and this is by far my favorite. The temp control is great and doesn’t overheat the wax. Melts quickly and keeps at an even temp throughout the services.

Works well but it's HUGE!
This warmer is billed as a 'professional' unit. There's a digital temperature display and push-button controls to adjust. In operation the unit remembers the last set temperature so it's easy to 'set it and forget it'. When setting the temp the display will show the 'set temp' initially and after a bit of time will switch to show the current temp. It can be adjusted to display in Fahrenheit or Celsius depending on your preference.Although the removable aluminum pot is of standard size the unit itself is quite large. It comes in an 8x8x8 box and pretty much fills it. I have another warmer that is small enough to fit in a drawer - not so with this one. I initially thought that with the small base the size would make this unstable but in practice it's not really an issue. There's a standard removable power cord that can be swapped out if you need a longer or shorter cord. One thing I found right away that I don't like about this unit is that there is a very loud beep whenever any of the controls are used. I personally find the sound obnoxiously loud but there isn't any way I've found to turn that off. That would be a nice add. When trying the unit for the first time loaded it with about 1/2" of wax beans and set the temp to 150F to melt the wax. It took a long time to get partially melted so I cranked it up to 200F after which the wax melted much more quickly. While heating the temp gauge slowly rose to the set point and held there quite steadily thereafter. After reaching 200F I dropped the temp back to 150 and it dropped relatively quickly due to the small quantity of wax I was using. Again the temp display dropped and then held at the set point. Nice.My other warmer has a simple adjustment knob with no scale. With that unit it's a lot harder to get that unit to a given temp because of how long it takes to change and a lot harder to do different temps for different waxes. This one is a walk in the park in comparison and it only cost a few dollars more. One thing I'm missing from my other warmer is the non-stick pot that makes cleanup a breeze. Although the aluminum pot on this is removable I found it nearly impossible to get wax out of it once its cold. With this pot it's best to clean it when its still warm - the wax comes out a lot more easily then. I think the manufacturer missed an opportunity by not including a non-stick pot since there are cheaper units available that have that feature. Lack of a non-stick pot is the main reason I dropped a star.

SPECTACULAR customer service!
I had an issue with the unit after the window to return it had closed. Julie contacted me regarding my concerns and resolved the issue thoroughly on the SAME DAY I reported it. Service like that is almost UNHEARD of these days! Thanks Julie, for an outstanding experience!

Not professional quality, not convenient for home use
Instructions are in Celcius. The LCD display is in Fahrenheit.Yes, it heats up the wax fast, which is nice.It shuts off at 90 minutes, which makes it not friendly for professional use.The removable bucket helps, but the wax is not easily removable from the metal as my nonstick surface is.The wax doesn't evenly melt and must be stirred.

Convenient Size
Love this wax heater. Perfect size. Heats well and keeps wax at set temp. Purchased this as a backup heater for the spa but decided to keep it at home
