this is a zone add on. you must already have a zone controller. Don not order this if you do not know what you are doing. I ordered it to place my zone controller. It was the wrong part.

This TAZ-4 works as a standalone unit. It can also be used to add additional zones to an existing TAZ-4 install. I have one installed on my heatpump since 2001 with no issues.
