Great for a small flashlight not the stream light it’s too big for this pouch

The picture here is wrong as the product is for a basketweave flashlight carrier. It's a nice carrier as with all things Safariland. It is made perfectly for the Strion HL which is my main duty light. I was using the carrier made for the stinger and it would balance on top, but every now and then it would fall inside and require me to take off my belt to get it out. This is perfect for the smaller flashlights and it should also fit the surefire mini flashlights as well.

I've used this for about three weeks now and really like it. Holds my light securly with eat access.

This holster looks great, and I normally have no issues with Safariland products. However, I do not like this one, and it is not sized properly for the Strion LED, which I'm assuming is the same size as the standard Strion. I carried a Stinger XT for many years in an open top holster in the same position and never had a single issue. Firstly, the material inside is smooth plastic, with what looks like a VERY this layer of leather around it. Secondly, it's sized slightly large, not giving a snug fit around and slightly too long, and not being leather won't conform to the right shape. The result is a flashlight which is always loose, and with the light weight of the Strion, wants to come out. Every time I take my belt off, the light goes flying. When I sit in a vehicle, the light slides out the top. (I carry it on my left hip where I have carried a light for 18 years). Multiple occasions I thought I had lost the light only to find it later between the seat and door or under the driver's seat, and once in my driveway. If you stand in one place all the time, never take your belt off, don't move around, get on the ground, or never get in or out of a vehicle I suppose it might be fine. Otherwise, plan on losing your flashlight almost daily. As for me, I'm looking for a new holster with a flap, or a different brand with actual leather inside for a little bit of retention.
