A delightful surprise.
Anyone shopping kitchen knives in this price category ought to know, you can find diamonds in the rough, or garbage. Luckily, this not-so-little gem is totally worth the purchase.First observation: there's no way to get around the weight. In hand, she feels more like an agricultural tool than a kitchen knife, so if you are someone with any kind of grip issues, this isn't a recommended, sorry.Second observation: mine came with a tiny gap between one handle scale and the tang, right at the top of the scale where you would get water in there while washing or perhaps even food juices. It was not a hard fix, I packed in some baking soda with my fingernail once the knife was clean and dry, ran a bead of superglue over it, then pressed in more baking soda until the glue set, which occurred in mere seconds. A light sanding with a sanding sponge to make sure I didn't create any jagged surfaces and voila! Not something we ought to have to do on a new expensive knife, but for 30 bucks at time of purchase, an easily fixable fit issue didn't bother me.Third observation: the leather sheath is great, I suppose, for someone who might want to travel with this beast. I don't intend to, so it's junk drawer fodder. C'est la vie.Fourth observation: she cuts fantastically. Great edge out of the box, but I also, always, wash then hone a new knife. If you just got off a boat from China to Missouri, the first thing you'd want is a shower and a shave, right? So, the edge geometry is good, straight lines, she does get thick behind the edge but in a useful progression so you can shave partially frozen meats and soft veggies likes tomatoes. If I had access to giant carrots, it would probably split them rather than cleanly slice, but I don't, all the carrots around me are little guys not much thicker than my fingers, and this knife will slice them so thin you can see through them. So far, that edge has held well. I am a religious honer, so after every use, and nothing I've put under the edge so far has done any damage to warrant a real sharpening. I did spot some brown spots on the blade flats a few times, prompting me to wonder if it's actually stainless, but I attempted to force a patina, and got nothing. Confused, I interrogated my clan and it seems some folks weren't washing it after using it. Mystery solved. Not saying it can't rust, but it would take some act of negligence to make it.Overall, I had done some preliminary research into this company and they're fairly new at knife making, which explains the fit issue, but honestly, I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat if they produced a design I can't live without. Solid construction, good materials, heat treat appears to be spot on, you could definitely pay double the cost of this blade and not get a superior knife.

Very good
This was the first carving knife I bought for a grill master. He is super happy with it. The weight and durability are on point. No need to sharpen as it was razor sharp straight out of the box. (I cut myself very easily) And a nice wooden handle that fits comfortably in the hand.

Multipurpose
This is my wife’s favorite knife. She likes better than the Babish set. She loves the curve of the blade. Goes very nice with a natural hand movement. There is major quality here.

its a carbon steel for who loves carbon steel.
It is not a stainless steel knife, so it requires care, but its edge is extremely good, it is good to use, it has quality and it has a good price, what could improve would be the finish of the handle, but nothing that a good sandpaper can't solve easy. however, as it is not stainless steel, it was not made for those who do not know how to take care of it.

My best knife buy ever
This is the sharpest knife I have ever owned. Be careful, I have cut my fingers twice just by bumping it accidentally. I want more knifes from this brand. Please let me know when you make other varieties.

This is a Pretty Great Knife
I'm not a professional chef but I'm keeping this bad boy for all of my meat cutting duties at home! Holds an edge but I also can sharpen on my electric sharpener when needed. Me like!

Blade is low quality
Not tempered blade makes it easy to be bent even on small tree branches.
