Good book if you need to convince your Church to have a Security Team
My church already was willing to start a Security Team. But only Security. Based on this book, I've expanded into a full "Safety and Security Team" now.If you need to convince your pastor or church board that you need a security team, this is a great book. It gives lots of scripture to back up the idea of why you should have a security team. Definitely recommended.

Good News
This is a great starter for those interested in the topic of Church Security. But it is up to each of us to investigate further and learn more. I recommend this book and the podcast by the ChurchSafetyGuys team. Ministry first!

Great Book!
Perfect for a helping pastors understand the need for safety and security in today’s chaotic world. We encourage that every member of our team reads this. The Biblical references are spot on.- Randy Lamar, Gateway Fellowship Church, San Antonio, Texas

Great read
James has written a great book for resource here. I highly recommend it for ALL church pastors and for anyone contemplating leading or being part of a Church Safety/Security team. This book has been added to our training for those seeking to join our teams. Hopefully it confirms the biblical standards of needing a Safety/Security ministry.

A valuable read for those considering church safety, or those engaged for years.
James McGarvey addresses the issues and concerns often raised when contemplating a church safety team. I would recommend this as a primer for churches beginning a team, and as a valuable refresher for those who may have had teams in place for years. I love that the book characterizes safety as a ministry that compliments the church's overall role, not one that competes with being a welcoming environment for all.
