Good quality pick axe. Excellent costumer service.

Used to help cut out and dig up a one foot tree trunk in the garden. Light and easy to use, blade end cut through wrist size roots, strong enough to lever up the roots, and the handle is long enough to get good leverage, though I often pressed the free end of the metal head down with one foot while pushing on the handle, so didn't test it by putting all my weight on the handle. Next task is to help dig out an old raised flower bed before a new fence is put in, I think this will be up to the job, good for domestic garden use.

A well made sturdy pick and all most a pleasure to use. Bamboo roots are very tough to get rid off and the pick is helping to clear them, if only I could get somebody else to swing it it would be perfect.

Decent pickaxe, wasn't the colour advertised bit not important to me. The shaft was scratched which suggesting it has been used before but had to start the job so didn't complain. It's a pickaxe, it works.

The mattock seems on the first couple of uses to be very good.I’m glad I bought this 5lb mattock rather than a 10lb one. Much easier to handle and suits my purposes well.Arrived in two pieces - shaft and head. The head slips on and is secured by a few bumps on the ground.

Does the job and good to use.

I bought this to remove tree stumps and the roots. It is a weighty piece of kit and it rattles your teeth, but boy, does this rip through anything in its way!! I break most garden tools that I use but this one is proving to be a challenge!!!
