it does what I need

giving it a neutral rating due to not knowing it's original purpose, but if your looking for a spring loaded hole punch where you pull it back and release it to punch a hole, this doesn't do it at all, even tried messing around with the parts to see if I was supposed to assemble it a certain way. Only way I can see this thing being useful is if your planning on pushing a hard piece of metal up against something hard enough to strain yourself to make a slight visible dent. And by slightly visible I mean you could probably get a better dent with pressing down a pair of tweezers or a pen.

you have to put a lot of sideways force to get the mechanism to engage and hammer down the mark. Does great but it is a pain to use. Stopped using these entirely and just started using my Husky brand one

Not good quality. Spring doesn’t set right and wont punch the first or second time. Need to keep clicking for it to work. Dont buy this

Big one broke second time I used it. Small one works but has weak spring.

Unfortunately, the larger punch provided broke immediately upon first use, having the tip break off on the tiny point in which the c clip holds it in place, rendering it useless. At least it comes with 2, so the other one functions as it should... for now.
