The Tarot of Curious Creatures: A 78 (+1) Card Deck and Guidebook Cards – November 2, 2021

I can tell when I've really fallen in love with a new tarot deck...I want to immediately buy a second copy! That way I'll have one deck to "keep nice" and one to constantly look at, shuffle, read with, and show off to friends without worrying if the cards get bent, dirty, or beat up. The Tarot of Curious Creatures is one of those decks!Artist Chris-Anne's "Light Seers" deck was one of the first non-RWS decks I bought and I fell in love with her artwork. Then I bought her Muse Tarot because of the collage style. And now my newest favorite, her Curious Creatures!Things I love about this deck -- the bright colors, the quirky animal/human hybrids, the tiny details on each card that you may not notice right away. Those little elements will reveal themselves over time, when you're meant to see them. I also enjoy how the images don't stay within the borders. The creatures look like they're stepping out of the cards!The card stock is decent - a medium thickness with a matte finish that feels awesome in your hands and shuffles smoothly. The box and lid are sturdy cardboard and nicely decorated. The thick guidebook that comes with the deck has 163 pages and a full-color cover. Each card features upright and reversed keywords (labeled Heads and Tails), a few paragraphs about the card, and some questions to ponder.Don't forget to visit Chris-Anne's website! There's lots of additional information available there - some audio meditation tracks, and additional guides for her decks called Field Notes. These feature various spreads and other ways to work with your cards, plus space to take notes under each card as you get to know them.Overall a fun, beautiful deck of cards! Gah! This deck is gorgeous! It’s one of my favorites and I love the imagination in the artwork. The cards are a nice weight and sturdy as well.

I have to say, The Tarot of Curious Creatures has completely stolen my heart! These cards are not only beautiful and unique, but they're also a whole lot of fun.First of all, the artwork on each card is absolutely stunning. I find myself getting lost in the intricate details of each creature. But don't let the whimsical nature of these cards fool you - they're also incredibly insightful. I've used them for personal readings and have been blown away by the accuracy of the messages. And let's face it, it's much more fun to get a tarot reading from a curious creature than a boring old human.Overall, The Tarot of Curious Creatures is a must-have for anyone who loves tarot and animals (which, let's be honest, is pretty much everyone). These cards are a joy to use and will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face. Plus, who knows what kind of insight those curious creatures may have in store for you?

So whimsical, creative, cool! I find them very inspiring and uplifting! The card stock is heavy and solid unlike playing cards so they are a little hard to shuffle, but I expect they will hold up for a very long time due to this. I will probably buy another deck for the cards alone to put up like oracle cards.

They are very detailed. I don’t like the sandpaper material of the cards tho.

Haven’t used them yet but the images are so colorful and beautiful. Deck comes with a lot of extras. The little book it comes with looks great too! I’m pretty sure this deck is going to be a favorite.

These cards are so juicy and bursting with color—they are for lovers of eye candy, and caricatures. The characters pop out on each card larger than life, like a mad hatter’s tea party! This is a vibrant, loud deck! It’s lots of fun and hardly very serious at all. I realized I already own quite a few animal decks and when used with others, it enhances the charm of this deck even more. This deck lends itself naturally to “people” readings because every single card has a character on it. I also found it paired well with Kipper and Gypsy oracle decks.
