This is one of the most beautiful crosses that I have ever purchased. The quality, and craftsmanship are outstanding. This is no flimsy piece of costume jewelry, but rather a substantial piece. It is almost 1/4" thick. It has some heft to it as well, which is nice that it doesn't flop around while you're wearing it. As the picture shows not only is the front finely done with a stylized Chi Rho, but the back is finished as well. To wear it as a Crucis Pectorum, you'll need to either purchase a Pectoral Cross clip, or have a jeweler attach a hook. However you could very easily do it yourself. I purchased two different sizes of jump rings 12mm, and 15mm. I used two of the 12mm to make a spacer, and then the one 15mm, to hook through the shirt button. The 15mm, is big enough to fit over most standard shirt buttons. So in conclusion this is a very beautiful, and substantial piece of religious art. It would be a wonderful gift idea for a Pastor, Priest, Nun, or anyone who just wants to proclaim their faith with a beautiful piece of jewelry.

Understanding the value and meaning of this cross and it connection to Christianity, it is really pretty, far nicer in real life. The chain is pretty long and fits the purpose perfectly.

My husband is a St. Nicholas of Myra, a 4th century bishop reenactor. We have the full outfit and the cross that came with it was a cheap tin piece. We have finally replaced it with this. Looks more to the period of St. Nicholas, is heavy - however looks light. Well worth the money we spent on it! The chain is very substantial as well. Good luck breaking that one!!

The cross and its chain look rather chintzy. They most certainly are not 18k gold plated and are very light in weight. Still in all they are attractive enough and since they are being used for a costume they are blingy enough to make a gawdy impression with the rest of the get up. All in all I am satisfied and the price was very good!

Lovely. We used it for a skit, but was too big and finally returned it.
