Phoenix has a long recovery in front of him
As a marine, Phoenix Steele is used to being in control and in charge. Since his accident and recovery, he's definitely not in control and cannot be in charge. He's frustrated, and his brain is no longer always under his control. Head trauma forces him into a therapist's office, where he meets his match in Rose Floris. She's beautiful, thoughtful and can get him to look at the world differently. And they're crazy attracted to each other from the first moment. When a stalker threatens her, Phoenix takes charge. Can they reconcile their budding relationship with their respective roles and the danger ahead? Excellent book in a great series!!

Spirit
Loved the story except these Steele brothers fall pretty fast in love. Nowhere have I seen the answer to how Feen left the hospital and shot his step mother. Also I don’t understand why none of the women of Phoenix, Gunner, Gage and Axel are only in their own story’s including Jagger’s and don’t show up in any others.

Nice Read!
I enjoyed reading about the recovery of Phoenix! I was amazed how his attitude and demeanor seemed to be challenged and improving with the presence of Rose! Their chemistry was off the chain! I love the humor of Gage! Hilarious! The only thing I don't like in this series is the fact that the author doesn't mention the fiance's of Phoenix's brothers as the series goes on! I really would've liked her to keep them all in this series! Atleast to see how they all interact with the other brothers and other fiances. Just a thought! I do believe that everyone will enjoy reading this book/series! I definitely recommend it!

Phoenix and Rose
Phoenix is recuperating from a gun shot in his brain and she's a therapist with a stalker. Crazy twisted story. Lots of suspense and romance.

INCREDIBLY CAPTIVATING ❣❣❣❣❣
Definitely 10 STAR Worthy read in my opinion, I couldn't put it down but had to, to get some sleep. Phoenix was an incredibly complicated injured soul we all could relate to unfortunately from somewhere in our life. The lessons he learns really connected to me as relatable and the suspense was a huge 10. Thank you Amanda McKinney for writing a movie worthy story. 💞

Strong Emotions & Intense Intrigue
3.5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐💫 I really like Phoenix and Rose’s story, but there are missing elements which keep this from being a 5-star read. If you haven’t read the previous stories which center around Phoenix’s brothers’ love lives, you would have no idea that each of his brothers had found and should be together with their own true loves. Also, there’s no real explanation of why Phoenix was shot. I expected to read further resolution about that in this book. Also, with that whole backstory missing it could be confusing to someone who had not read the previous books. Those issues aside, this is a suspenseful, intriguing tale with a surprising twist for the whodunit and why. The emotions are intense, the intrigue suspenseful, and the passion hot and steamy. There is a level of fascination in this story that will keep you thoroughly involved, making for a very interesting read.

The best yet!
I loved all of the Cabin books & the Steele brothers as well as all the strong women (:This book though- it was so raw. Perfect. I especially love that Equine therapy gets a huge nod!!! Those horses & the therapists that work with them are magic. They have saved my newly adopted teen in so many ways! Way better than traditional therapy! Thank you for this story❤️

Liked this series, but someone should have questioned these issues beforehand
First, I really enjoyed the book, but I do have my complaints. Normally when you have a series characters from the previous books make an appearance or are at least mentioned. In each of the first three books a brother found his love, but there was never a complete ending, no marriage. You guess it will flow into the next book, but no. There is never any mention of the three women that each brother ended up with in their prospective story. I found that strange, they weren't even mentioned! Did these relationships end? The brothers are all mentioned and in each of the books, if they were still in relationships you'd think that there would be at least a mention of them? I found that very strange .My other complaint with this whole series, we had serious situations but at the end they never really explained the details in the outcome. Why did this person go after the h? How did the villain get their information? How were they able to access the homes? A professional security team and multiple times their headquarters were accessed? Seems really wrong that if they have their clients staying on their property that people can just come and go on the property, that there isn't a security gate? These issues come from a combination of the whole series but you get my frustration and annoyance.

Worth reading
No plot spoilersNo potential triggersThere are some grammatical and editorial errors, basic stuff such as using the wrong word and my personal bugbear - lended - come on, pay attention to the detail. The characterisation is okay but I do agree with previous reviews, it's odd that the women from previous books seem to have vanished.Altogether, not so much a series and more of a series of standalone books based on the brothers. There isn't enough character engagement with the main characters to build a series to care about. The plotline is engaging enough to keep you turning the pages, if a little far fetched, no detail but you do have to suspend belief. There are a couple of sex scenes and some swearing.

Takes a while to get into but once you star the series hard to put down....
l am really enjoying the series all HEA but the first three have cliff hangers which were well written in.So why the four stars? Well the main characters really are the men which is a nice change the only other author that l read that does this is JR Ward. The only thing that l find a shame is that the women from the previous stories never appear in the other books only once in all four l have read so far were briefly mentioned even in the epilogues when all the men are together, theses are really good heroines, strong and resilient. There was a great bar scene in Phoenix but Gage was written like a horney bachelor instead of a committed partner. And what's with them all moving out of the main Mansion? where they work and is described as a small town where the all work and grew up and is secure after all they've been through in their stories? But all in all a great series that needs to be read from the begining to get an idea of the way the men think and feel.

Slow and dull
I completely lost all interest after the first few chapters. I found it long drawn out and uninteresting. It took pages and pages just to say the heroin was having a rubbish day. Not that I cared at all. She is so boring and clueless. This is the first and probably last time reading this author's work.

Enjoyed the series, but disappointed that the females from each book never appear again.
Enjoyed reading about the Steele brothers & the women they meet, each story kept my interest in wanting to find out what would happen at the end. But have to say that the fact that Niki, Erika & Lexi never appear after the book they were in is puzzling, each brother met a beautiful woman & fell in love but that’s where ends. Would have enjoyed it more if these ladies had continued to appear still supporting their men & the family especially as Lexi was supposed to be working for Steele Security. 3 stars probably too low & 4 probably generous..
