Hi..I recentlywrote a review on this journal.. at the time I thought they hadn't sent the gold pen.. I was mistaken.. it isn't within the wrapping of the journal.. it was loose inside the package.. because this is a gift, I'm not opening the clear packaging.. but looking at it.. the journal looks gorgeous .. rich colour.. I'm hoping that the paper inside is also desirable. I hope that this company finds a way to have the gold pen included *with* *attached* somehow to the journal.. if I hadn't decided to really search inside the bag, I'd not of found it and it'd of been tossed out in the garbage..

There are great notebook styles out there and many great brands. This Vintage 3D Phoenix notebook is one of my top three favourites. Not only is the cover very eye catching, but it just feels old and valuable. The only complaint I have is that some of the pages are white and others are made to look old. Just wish it was one way all through the book. But this is a very minor complaint. I really do enjoy this notebook and I absolutely love the bird design. I would highly recommend.

I love writing in this journal and the different coloured pages are fun! I have had many compliments on it and will sometimes just run my hands over the cover and back as the jewels and texture is great for idle fiddling. The pen that comes with it is heavy and writes well. A little pricey for a journal of that size, but I'm really glad I invested in it.

This was a gift to my granddaughter who plays D&D.. She was over the moon with this note book. Well made and visibly attractive.
