Perfect substitute for name brand.
These generic cartridges for the brother p-touch label makers that handle the 24 mm (1") labels are awesome. They do work very well and the adhesive is just as good as the brother brand ones. I do recommend tightening the tape as they suggest. Not doing so can cause issues with the cartridge or the label maker, I kept slowly turning the spool counter clockwise until I felt no more give. So far i have had absolutely no issues with these cartridges. Thank you.20Addition: (2/25/20) The white on black the laminate top doesn't look very clear and it doesn't seem to adhere to the wording or black tape very well. It looks cloudy and appears to have air trapped between the laminate and black tape

Not too bad
Bought these for new P-Touch label maker as it same with a sample tape, which only printed about half the amount of labels. Was disappointed that when I first started to use it to print name labels for lockers. Several names had white lines running through them and I had to reprint, which resulted in a similar issue with some of the reprinted new names. This worried me that I'd be wasting a whole lot of label tape. The issue seemed to go away for a while then popped back up again recently. Didn't have an issue with the genuine tape included with the label maker so I don't believe it's the machine. Overall they aren't too bad, especially when the lines aren't appearing in the printed labels. Giving it 4 stars because I did get a decent amount of good labels out of it in the end.

Label Stock De-Laminated prior to use
See photos, this roll of tape was less than 60 days old when it was unwrapped from cello pouch after delivery from Amazon, and inserted to Brother label maker where a few labels were produced from it with no issues. It then was removed for a narrower tape that was used for the next couple of weeks, when it was re-inserted, it was very disappointing to see that the balance of the tape (at least 80% of it) was unusable due to the de-lamination of the label stock.

Donât waste your money on this defective product
I have made over a thousand labels using my Brother label maker. This tape, by far, is the worst brand I have ever used; two-thirds of the Buyalot brand of labels backed up in the maker, thus destroying the cartridge. Buyalot may be cheaper than other brands, but what point is there to âsaving moneyâ if the product is defective?Iâve not had problems with other brands, and yes, I do know how to rotate that green thing counter clockwise, so Iâm pretty sure itâs not user error. This tape is even worse than âyou get what you pay for;â more like âyou pay for what you donât even get.â My advice: stay away from this brand because it sucks.

Just as expected for intended use.
Works just like the starter spool. Easy to install, sticky backing is normal, color is solid. Works as expected without any glitches. Might not have needed 4, but I'm less uptight about making mistakes and being all ocd conservative when I have so much label tape to use. :)
