Concise, yet very useful.
A brief, concise, yet helpful exegetical work that doesn't get bogged down with ALL of the details of the larger, more expansive treatments of Romans such as Cranfield (ICC), Moo (NICNT) and Morris (PNTC), but still provides enough data to derive the authorial intended meaning out of the text. Mounce chooses not to deal too much with the problematic interpretive issues of many passages, but is convincing when he does (Rom. 7:14 & 11:25-27). Very well written, user-friendly for pastors and serious students looking to enhance their knowledge of Romans through a serious consideration of the text.

Fall in love with Romans
This book was easy to read and understand. It was easy to outline. I learned a lot from this book. You really get the feeling on how much Paul loved these Christians in the church.
