3-Inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Twin

I bought this mattress pad a few weeks ago and am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the "newness" smell that others have written about. I let the mattress pad air outside for about 12 hours before putting it on the bed, but it still has the new smell (a few weeks later). It's not so bad that it's a hindrance, it's just obvious if you really try to smell it (I'm sure some Febreze would likely take care of the odor). The mattress pad itself is really comfortable. I feel like I have a brand new mattress and am sleeping really comfortably. This was a really good purchase. Caution however....when the foam pad is shipped, it's rolled very tightly then shrinkwrapped in plastic. The outside edges get kind of mashed together and hard. When I first opened it, I thought it was going to stay really mashed and hard and I'd have to return it, but after airing it out for several hours, the foam found it's softness and natural shape. Before putting it on the bed, let it expand to it's natural shape for a day or so (and try to do something about the odor). Just don't expect to take it out of the box and put it on the bed straight away.

In the past I've used a 4 inch foam mattress (2 twin size on a king bed) so I wondered if a 3 inch would be adequate. It is. The foam mattress relieves pressure on joints for a much more comfortable night. The only drawback is the odor which remains until it is aired out. I had just moved and needed a good night's sleep so I used it right away. The odor remained a little longer because of this. I noticed that the cat slept on it, odor or no, so I guess the odor is only a little annoying but not dangerous. The product was mailed promptly and received in good condition.

Feels like my bf's $1000 bed. But it comes with a chemical smell and it is strong. The smell seems to be fating after 2 weeks of opening it. But it is still there. Be prepare to have a long period of time of waiting before actually putting it to your bed.Also, about the size. I thought it is too short for a twin as well. But my bf told me my dorm bed is an extra long twin. So that might be the reason for the complain of length.

I've been sleeping on a memory foam topper for years and adore them. I was deployed to Afghanistan a few weeks ago and couldn't take it! LOL I had to buy one for this rock they call a bed! MUCH BETTER! This memory foam is a little more... hmm... firm/dense... than I have used before, but I still like it! Slight chemical smell when it got here, which all memory foam seems to have. Was gone in a day and a half or so.

Overall I would say the mattress topper works as described. Be sure to let it air out/fold for 24 hours before using it-like the instructions advise. It's not the most sturdy-when you are sleeping right next to the edge, the corner tends to "pop out."

My husband is a long haul truck driver and the mattress supplied by his company had poky springs and was horribly uncomfortable. Since a rested driver is a safer driver we bought this to top his truck mattress. It has given him months of great sleep and has held up well. We are considering getting one for our home mattress. Also you can not beat an American Made product.

This made my 89$ spring mattress feel like a million $$$.I read complaints that said this mattress was smelly and hard and that it was not memory foam.1) In my opionion Its a medium soft desity.2) the smell does go away as long as the matterss is given enough time too air out. Patience people.3) It will feel hard for a week maybe two. ALL Foam mattress need time soften. This Happens with body heat and weight of your body. There are sights on line that five suggestions on how too spead up the process. But I find that patience and normal use work great.MIne is pretty perfect now and its been about 6 ish weeks, I think, that I've been sleeping on it.

I bought this memory pad for two different beds and both are now AMAZING. The first time I purchased this memory pad was for a futon. The "mattress" that came with the futon was so uncomfortable I could barely sit on it, once I added this pad--it was like heaven. I then bought it again for a guest bedroom set that had an older mattress--every person who sleeps on the "new-old" bed comments on how comfortable it is. In our master room we have a memory foam mattress and this pad's comfort is equivalent, if not better in some aspects. Would buy it again and a again.The smell does dissipate with time. Give it a week before sleeping on it, if the smell bother's you, and it should be fine by then. Wasn't a deal breaker for me.

This is so comfortable its unbelievable. I am going to buy more for sure. Very well worth the cost. If you haven't tried this you have no idea what your missing.Once it comes out of the box it needed to be stretched a little on the length wise sides due to packaging. It straightens out itself over a weeks or so.
