Great!
Seems very comfortable for my cat. Thought he’d try fighting it or try to remove it but nope. His neck circumference is 8” and a small fit perfect. And it’s so cute!!

Cute and functional
My cat adjusted very well to this soft donut. It is easily put on and adjusted. She didn't try to back out of it like she does with the "cone of shame". She sleeps well with it on and even is a pro at chasing her brother around. The only drawback is the fact that when she drinks from her bowl she seems to sop up lots of water into the donut. I just take a paper towel and absorb it so it's not too heavy around her neck. This is a great product. I have 2 and wash one and have one on hand in case she gets the other one too wet.

Great for most cats
The vet advised a donut instead of an cone collar as most cats find it easier since the donut doesn't obscure their peripheral vision. I needed this to keep him from scratching his eye which was a little irritated and required drops. This was great for that plus he looked so cute and it actually made it easier to keep him in place for the drops. The only two flaws were while attempting to scratch his eye he got his foot stuck in the loop used to tighten the collar. I wasn't around when it happened so I have no idea how long he was stuck like that :(. So make sure you tuck in the loop after adjusting. The other flaw was I had a hard time telling if the donut was tight enough. He got it off one or twice and I felt anxious that I had over tightened and kept checking on him. I don't regret buying it, it worked for the most part and he didn't hate it as much as the cones. He even used it as a built in pillow when he napped.

This one was the winner!
Oscar has a wound at the base of his rear near his tail, and he was not a fan of the plastic cone given by the vet. He struggled to eat and use the litter box with it on and I could tell he was uncomfortable when trying to sleep, but I couldn't take it off and risk his wound not healing.I came to Amazon and literally bought 6 different options:-a cute turkey leg one (it lasted for a picture before he pulled it off, but I was expecting that)-two onesies (didn't work as they didn't cover the wound)-a sunflower one meant for a dog (too large and floppy, he easily pulled it off)-one similar to this one with flamingos on it but lacking a cinch (he pulled it off)-this donut oneThis one was the winner! He hasn't even attempted to pull it off, and I was able to cinch it nice and snug while also allowing him plenty of room to breathe. I think because it sits a bit below the neck, it's more comfortable for him. He can easily eat dry and wet food out of a dish and yet doesn't have the range to reach the wound. I feel much more confident in allowing him to walk freely around the house (as opposed to locked in the bathroom) because I know that he won't hit his head on the wall like he was with the cone. I don't mean to sound like a crazy cat lady, but he seems happier too. He is acting more playful and like his usual self.I don't usually write Amazon reviews but I wanted to share my experience in case you're also searching for an option for a large and active cat. I tried a bunch and was absolutely thrilled to find one that worked. I highly recommend this one!

DO NOT BUY!
I just got it and put it on my puppy. Her neck is 9" so I got a small as per the instructions. It was hard to put on, but it went on. When I tried to take it off it was impossible and when trying to pass it through her head, she started chocking so I had to cut it off. I could not measure the donut opening after I cut it and tore it off, but definitely not enough for the head to pass through. The photo says to measure neck girth, but the center of the donut is round, does not open/come apart like others, so they should tell you to measure the head girth instead. All in all, I might as well have flushed $15.00 down the toilet. Very happy!

fine, but could be (a lot) better
I got this for my cat (5 year-old Himalayan Siamese mix, 9 to 10 lbs, got her the Small, fits her great) because I liked the pun of her doughnut's design being a doughnut. It's been alright, but there's one glaring thing I wish I had been warned about (or better warned about, if I had missed something that was in the description). It's thinner than I expected. It's not awful, just pretty flat. She can still reach a margin of her back haunches, her tail, and her back feet if she stretches. If you're okay with potentially re-filling this after your purchase (assuming the seam allowance will, y'know, allow it; I'm too poor at sewing to try), that'd probably be better.I've seen people complain about the black pull-close security-tie, and it's been fine in my experience. I just tugged it to be on the other side, where she can't reach it and potentially hurt herself. Also, I read on here that this is at least partially made of velvet? (I remember because I hate to touch velvet due to sensory issues I have, but I thought it'd be fine since I wouldn't be wearing it) But the tag on the actual item only lists polyester, it says "100% polyester" in fact. And I touched the main pillow and my sensory issues were fine, which I think confirms that this specific product didn't get mis-tagged, but that actually this isn't velvet (again, velvet upsets my skin, so I would know if it was there). Which I am fine with, obviously I don't like velvet, but this is just such a weird discrepancy for an allegedly professional company to have. What the heck? But the BIG ISSUE I have here that I didn't know about is that this thing is dry clean only. The tag on the item reads "Wash separately. Professional dry clean only". I very much so doubt, then that this is machine washable. I would not have bought this if I had known that (and I do apologize if I just missed where this had been written, but I didn't see it anywhere before purchasing), that's such an inconvenience. Especially for a product built partially for cats in mind. They lick things. A lot. And a recovery collar, especially a soft pillow-y one (aka: a doughtnut), that stops a cat from being able to lick themselves is going to instead be licked. Especially if the animal is anxious (which many would be, as they have either been injured or been in surgery in order to be wearing the collar, in addition to having to adjust to the weird experience of such a large thing around their their neck) or has anxiety issues (which my cat does, which causes her to overlick herself in attempt to self-soothe). I want to be able to maintain this thing and not have it get gross. I don't want to buy multiple of these in my lifetime. I also don't want to have to give over a decently exuberant amount of money to the dry cleaners every time I use this, especially if I'm already hurting from a recent vet visit (especially-x2 since none of my clothes are dry clean only, so I would be going JUST for this collar).I personally don't feel comfortable returning this since ny cat has already licked it so much, and I did need to put her in a recovery collar regardless of this thing's washability. And, again, it's fine for what I got, I guess. Not great, but it'll do okay for what I need this week or so (Thank goodness that she is in the position where it's fine if she can reach tht margin of her back haunches, her whole tail, and her little feet; I probably would have been even more frustrated then). I just will use it until it gets gross and go buy another one around that time. One that I can just pop in the wash at my convenience and, hopefully, makes her unable to reach more of her body.Again, this is fine for me for now, so I'll give it some stars as it is doing enough of its job at the moment to warrang them (and who know, maybe it will magically never get gross (Vastly unlikely but I can dream, can't I?)). But I do NOT recommend this product.

Only one big enough for my cat!
We've gone through 3 similar soft collars for our cat and this is the only one wide enough to keep him from scratching his mouth. He's got a small neck but cats are super limber so it wasn't hard for him to get around the other collars. This one works perfectly for a small cat and might get a second one.

Too small
Very cute but unfortunately is too small for my 20 pound cat. I want to return it but it cost half of what it's worth to send it back. No free returns. So I guess I'll keep it in case my smaller cat might need it some day or I'll sell it.
