Klean KanteenTKWide 340g (with twist lock) - Black

Just arrived yesterday. Seems like a great size, and love the look. But, it came with the cafe cap instead of the straw cap. No time to return, as this was needed for my daughter's return to school today, but bummed to not get what was ordered. UPDATE: she prefers the cafe cap, so all is well. Still rating a 3 to warn others that you may not get what you order.

Creo que el concepto es muy bueno pero mal implementado, me decidí por éste modelo porque buscaba la versatilidad de tener todo en uno un sólo vaso pero en los dos primeros usos se rompió la parte donde ensambla la pajilla de acero ya que se tiene que retirar la pieza completa de silicona si quieres limpiarla adecuadamente de lo contrario se formará hongo, y ahí estuvo meses sin cumplir su función tuve que comprar la tapa con popote independiente y otra para café para por fin poder utilizarlo, mejor compra el vaso con tapa de café y la tapa con popote aparte y te ahorrarás mucho.

The quality of the Kleen Kanteen TK Wide 12 oz bottle is not in question. I love the size and the convenience of it. My issue is that the description, the packaging, and the Amazon label all state clearly that this was to be the twist cap version, but the actual cap style and the instructions enclosed are clearly for the café cap.It is not worth generating a return, but it’s not what I’d ordered.That being said, I used the item this morning, hooking it to my backpack when I wasn’t drinking from it. It worked so well that I didn’t even notice that I’d left the cap in drinking position - while hooked to the bag - until I got to work. (Granted, my coffee was sized under the 12 oz maximum, but still nice!)Cleaning the CAFÉ cap is a bit more involved than with most cups, (you separate the cap into its 5 component pieces and remove the gasket, then wash and dry all pieces before reassembly) but I can’t complain; it’s not difficult, and it is the proper way to do it. There are detailed instructions enclosed and videos on YouTube.

Overall I like this and it is impossible to find toddler friendly water bottles without loads of plastic and the plastic straw, but this is difficult to clean and builds up pressure even with just water so easily that it will spray out without warning. Overall not worth the price, but such limited options for as plastic free as possible while being ”throw in the giant bag friendly”——updated my review and LOWERING a star. Infuriating how easily it blasts you with water. It is Water Roulette. And then you’re left with the little opening for the straw with a puddle in there you’ve got to dump out (or it will leak out). It also does have a considerable amount of plastic going into the water with the size of the inner lid.

Now that I’m back at the office instead of working from home, I wanted a water bottle that 1) is easy to sip from without entirely removing my face mask, and 2) keeps the part I drink from covered until I want a sip. Bonus is that this small water bottle fits upright inside my medium, tote-style purse. I’ve had a few Klean Kanteen products over the years, and this one seems a little pricey for 12 ounces, but it does exactly what I want and nothing else comes close.
