UNITED SAFTY Safe-T-Plus F143K2 Bracket Kit

Unfortunately it appears that Freightliner uses different diameter tie rods on a random basis. My tie rod was 1.75 inch diameter but the kit was for 1.5 inches. Before ordering I emailed Safe-T-Plus and asked for the correct kit number. I ordered what they recommended. The brackets did not fit. Safe-T-Plus quickly sent replacement brackets which worked perfectly. It would have been a much simpler process if I had been told to measure the tie rod before they recommended the kit. Other than that, the kit worked very well and seemed to be very sturdy.

Our 02 Discovery has never been hard to drive,but it now drives better than it did when new. It was very easy to install with a little help from my grandson. If and when we get a new one we will order it with the new motorhome. There is no steering bounce when I hit the Bridge connectors or pot holes. I really like this thing. I received it in 1 day after ordering instead of the usual 2 days.Amazon prime is well worth the cost if you order as much as I do from Amazon.

Use an Impact driver, The tightest hardware I've ever seen. BUT, I don't have to worry about it loosening from road vibration. .

Tie Rod Bracket had burrs where U bolts connect. Part 16-800 also had burrs. Parts should of been deburred for FIT and customer use.

Just had it installed, haven't driven the motor home on the highway yet.
