It was great east assembly just had to explain to my kid once about the instructions and he got the rest. I would suggest using wood glue too

it was a challenge to middle school students to put together but they loved it once they finished it

This product was a nightmare to put together. I thought I would give it a try even after reading the reviews but I regret doing so. The holes were in the wrong place. You couldn’t even fit certain pieces together without them falling apart. 1 out of the 3 airplanes I bought was some what decent to at least be able to use as a decoration but the others I couldn’t finish putting together. Don’t buy.

Growing up, my mom bought similar wooden "puzzles" from dollar stores that created furniture and animals. I loved them and they were something I could do on my own as a child. I had forgotten about these things until I saw some on Amazon and I decided to get some for my six year old boy because he is very good at building things. I ordered this airplane along with two dinosaur puzzles. He and I started to work on this airplane, and as soon as I unwrapped it I was amazed at how many pieces there were. Some were as small as a fingernail and others much larger. Our first issue was popping out the shapes from the blocks, that was the biggest pain ever. The wood is extremely flimsy and no matter how careful I was, they would break when trying to push them out of the wood. So we finally got all the pieces out, and then once looking at the directions, I realized how this was NOT for a child. The directions had no step by step guidance, only numbers (that were only on the piece of paper, not on the pieces themselves). We tried matching up pieces to numbers, but it was not easy. To make the pieces fit correctly, you had to sandpaper each one individually, and sandpapering 5o or so little wooden bits is not quick. After a few attempts on both our parts to try and put the airplane together on our own for over 40 minutes, we didn't have a single wing or wheel!! Even his dad had trouble with it. So all the wooden puzzle pieces were put in a zip-lock bag and put away. Thank goodness I didn't spend a lot of money on this, but I was really upset that it was such a flop. This is certainly something a much older child or even young adult should put together, regardless of the children age 5+ boast on the cover. If you are looking for a fun, simple wooden puzzle this isn't it!

I bought this for the scavenger hunt at my work place, it was great fun, some of the gentlemen had some issues since it's sturdy bet they where a little rough,

Needed this for my baby shower and it came together pretty easily and was a great size for just the decoration I needed.
