It works! In my case at least.
I have a Samsung k950 old soundbar for a long time and it's sounds incredible on Atmos . Buy beeing this old it doesn't support eArc so I've only been able so use it at it's best with a Nvidia Shiel pro that can be connected to it through it's 2 Hdmi Inputs. But you can't get the Atmos from my LG G3 directly to the input on the sound bar but only Dolby Digital with the regular Arc. Basically this eArc audio extractor is exactly what I needed to extract the audio from the TV to the Input on the Soundbar not having to use the Arc hdmi on the soundbar. The only problem is that the audio starts after about 5 seconds after turning on but there no visible delay between video and audio. It's reasonably priced and very useful for someone that has a bit of old tech that is not ready to upgrade to a new audio system.

Works perfectly! Instant sound synchronization on HDMI/Smart-TV input switch.
Tried a cheaper one, that one cut audio on eARC from smart-TV, and PCM channels were all mixed up when it did work. This one works, no flaffing around.Instructions are simple:a) connect this device's eARC port to the eARC output HDMI port on the TVb) connect this device's audio HDMI port to a spare HDMI port on the audio amp receiver, switch receiver to that hdmi port.c) leave both the dip-switches on this device pointing upwards (default I believe)d) enjoy the audioWorks for all compressed digital formats and raw PCM multichannel audio.Make sure you configure the TV's eARC functionality as enabled, and set the audio out as passthrough. On LG TV's make sure you set all the incoming HDMI ports to bitstream. This will basically just then pass all incoming audio untouched to this device to do its thing.Works with Netflix/Youtube etc, effectively all smart-apps on the TV will pass all audio through to this device.Keep in mind that the only audio streams that will play on your receiver are what the receiver supports, so don't expect dolby atmos on a non-dolby-atmos receiver etc.A great device. However I'm sure the price could be a little more reasonable. I know times are hard, but the profit margin on this device is pretty huge! I guess with it being cheaper than the cheapest eARC receiver, I can see why it is priced the way it is, still a little unfair though, capitalism at its finest ;)

Was so hopeful…
Stumbled upon this product having spent some time managing with splitters/audio extractors to send audio to my receiver (which is both ARC incompatible and physically separated from my LG TV via buried HDMI cable only). The product appears to function, but sadly it continually renegotiates with my TV causing the TV to flip between recognising and not recognising the ARC connection. Tried multiple power adapters to see if a supply issue but no joy. Sadly will have to go back.

Sony tv oled HDMI using hdmi arc audio to non Sony approved hdmi audio processor .
Apple tv+ /computer /sony b/r / and tv workaudio out to a/v.Ended up buying a remote mains plug switch to use the tv speaker for normal use with tv remote.Very good audio .NegativesToo many remotes make over complicated control.Extra expence--- power supply and remote controlled plug.Loss of highspeed arc port for video.(ended up buying 4 port hdmi switch and another plug.)

Samsung UE50BU8000 TV inbuilt apps silent!
Purchased to convert Samsung UE50BU8000 TV eArc to old Denon AVR 1911 Amp.Does not fully work due to TV (it is not the audio extractors fault). The TV offers no Passthrough audio on its inbuilt apps and selects "Auto" mode resulting in no audio.Fuller description:Set up as per manual "eARC/ARC OUT1" to TV eARC port, "AUDIO OUT2" to Standard (non-ARC port) on Amp and dip switches up/down. TV picks up as "GSV Default (HDMI). The on/off and volume from TV remote all works perfectly.Worked perfectly for HDMIs in to TV e.g. Cable TV/DVD player and passes through e.g. Dolby Digital or DTS non-HD audio. TV auto activates "Pass through audio mode" so no need to change any settings. Lovely stuff! However, on using inbuilt TV apps like Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, iPlayer, ITV X the TV selects "Auto sound mode" which results in no audio to Amp.If I press menu, Left, down 3, right 14 times then enter (so 20 presses on remote) each time I select a new film/show and then select PCM (instead of Auto... there is no Passthrough available when using Apps) I get emulated "Dolby PLIIX" on the Amp instead of the original soundtrack. If you don't use the Samsung Apps, or you're OK with pressing 20 buttons and getting an emulated surround sound each time you select a program to watch, then this will be fine. However, I have up on that after a few films.

Actually works to extract Dolby DTS audio and can separate Picture and Audio
Positives:- Actually works, extracts eARC audio from eARC from LG OLED AND can be used to separate 4K HDR picture from Audio- Like someone else in the reviews I bought 2. 1 for eARC and 1 for KODI Nvidia shield to separate Picture and Audio- Did not have to buy an HD fury product which are often 2-10 X the priceNegatives:- 1 of my batch of 2 did not work at all. Got another off Amazon again which works fine.- Makes slight noise whenever on- No separate off switch beyond yanking the USB out

Dissappointing
This did not work for me, even though I had a tv with eARC, sent it back.

Works perfectly
I have a fantastic Onkyo 7.2 AV receiver. Cost quite a bit, and I intend to keep it for years yet. Problem is, there's no HDMI 2.1 input. My PC outputs 4k 120fps VRR HDR, which my TV supports, but the Onkyo does not!Getting proper, lag free, lossless 7.2 and Dolby Atmos in my use case was a nightmare. This thing solves all my issues, extracting the audio from my TV via e-arc and outputs to a standard hdmi on my amp.Everything works. No issues, no lag, no spots where it has to kick in...it just works, and looks like it has many other uses too which I probably won't use, but might! Worth the money.
