I was surprised at how small this actually is. It looks realistic though.

This 2.5" tall figurine of an owl is nice, but not great. There is some attention paid to the color patterns of the face and head, but even these are not entirely accurate (4/5). The same goes for the "ears". The rest of the body ranges from brown to gray, and heavily mottled on the breast, back and wings, but on this model the body is uniformly gray, with a hint of brownish mottling on the breast and belly. Talons are painted black (correct), but the rest of the feet, legs, and the branch it's perched on are uniformly gray (2/5).If you think I'm being ticky-tacky here, you're right. Why? The seller is marketing this as an educational toy, and if that's the goal, then they should have worked harder to make the coloring more accurate.Still, it's a nice little figurine, and would look nice sitting on your console as you speed across the galaxy like Yandu in Guardians of the Galaxy :-DNote: See the photo from Wikimedia Commons - Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license.Plus, frankly, the price point ($10) seems to be unusually high for a small figurine like this.3/5 stars
