Brittle plastic construction.
Used this for sea kayaking. Quite handy and small enough. Visibility over long distance is debatable. The orange body is weak plastic as the ring attachment broke soon after purchase. Also the ring is made of black painted steel, so soon rusts ands stains clothing. For a cheap light it’s a cheap light but at a high price for what it is. I would recommend to spend a bit more and and get good equipment.

Very useful bit of kit
I have a couple of these tied inside my lifejacket when sea kayaking at night. They are quick to pull out the pocket and switch on if I feel the need to show a light, and the all-round light means I can leave it dangling on a tether and it still does the job without having to worry about aiming it. They work well enough as a torch for setup and packdown, although the very wide angle means that they spread the light about rather than put a bright beam in one place. Finally, they provide a (very) last ditch, backup 'final mile' light source that does not need to be aimed, and an SOS flasher if things ever go really pear shaped and the VHF gives up. They have been submerged in salt water many times without any apparent issues. Very happy with them.

Love this
Love this little torch hard wearing and perfect for light weight camps

Its a splash proof torch
Its a splashproof torch on a carabiner which is always useful on a boat. Not sure about the survival aid claims. I suggest a lifejacket light is more appropriate.

Attaching clip weak
Does what it says on the “box”. Not had to use for real yet. Attaching clip is weak and recently broke, luckily I had a couple spare so was able to replace.
