Perfect solution for a newbie!
I really like this Elegoo Mercury curer. I particularly like watching the prints going round and round inside!I'm new to 3D printing, but have a friend who is very experienced. He scoffed when I told him I'd bought this curer to go with my new printer, as he made his own.Well, my hobby is miniature painting, not curer making, or even 3d printing. I don't have much time for my hobbies, so I don't want to waste any of it cobbling together my own curer. I bought this so I could just turn it on and use it. It worked. The Elegoo Mercury is essentially a metal tube that's mirrored on the inside, with strips of UV LEDs on a timer. The timer controls are on top, and easy to access and use, even with protective gloves on. The buttons are touch-sensitive. You don't have to podge them in, and it doesn't like it if you do. The tube stands over a base with a see-through turntable that is solar powered. As the LEDs shine inside the tube, the turntable rotates on its own, ensuring the prints are evenly exposed.I just clean up and dry the prints, put them on the turntable, stick the cover over them and turn it on for three minutes or so while I prepare the printer for the next batch. The rotating platform is big enough to hold whatever my printer can print. I have an Epax X1-N-DJ with a fairly small build platform. If you have a bigger printer, you might have to cure the prints in batches. Not really a hardship as it takes minutes compared with hours for the prints. The rotating platform does look a little fragile, but so are the prints I'm putting on it. I don't quite understand why people are concerned that it's not robust. What do they want to do with it? It's a delicate tool, not a concrete mixer. For what it's worth, when I unpacked the machine I dropped the turntable and it didn't break, so it's not as fragile as it looks.Yes, you can make your own curer. By the time you have got all the bits together and spent time assembling it, you have saved very little over the cost of this ready-made and effective solution. The Elegoo Mercury looks 'professional', it works well and it wasn't really all that expensive. Recommended.

Takes the cure
I am new to 3-D printing with resin and was rather daunted by the idea of curing the prints. Leaving it out in the Sun works but does take time, I bought this really to streamline the process it works well and if you leave the printing for the appropriate amount of time queue was them satisfactorily. I am by no means an expert but this seems to do the job well enough for me. The littleTurntable inside turn is well with the UV light shining on it I hadn’t realise this was included and is a nice touch.

If you’re new to 3D resin printing, this is great.
For those who are new to 3D resin printing, you need to allow your models to cure (the resin to fully harden) and this can theoretically be done naturally on a window sill but the time taken was irritating to say the least.I read online how people have made their own versions with tubs from IKEA and UV nail lights - which is great until you have to buy all of the required items and then end up with a makeshift solution that I doubt is as good as this out of the box. This thing is probably the best £50 I have spent to improving my modelling experience. If you can afford it, do it. Small models take less than ten minutes (down from two days!).

Awesome.
Compact, easy to use, cool to look at. Works great and has nice big handles so you don't have to worry about getting resin on the case.

If only the buttons were better
I want to love it, I want to give it 5 stars, but the buttons are horrible. Sometimes they react to the slightest touch, sometimes pushing them hard time and time again is necessary to have any reaction. Other than that I like styling, I like metal shell. Would wish for a cover off sensor, but can live without it.
