I have a 16 month old that was getting tired of his shape sorter. I found this toy and thought it looked like a good thing for him to focus on and think about. I was right. When he first played with it the game was "pick up eggs" where i would dump them out and he put them back in. Now he's experimenting with matching the colors and fitting the pieces together. Will also note I love the hen packaging. It looks super cute sitting on my son's shelf next to his toy cow and pig.

My three-year-old daughter absolutely loves this product the only problem I had was opening the chicken she's having a lot of fun taking each of the eggs and tapping them three times on the side of the bottom part of the chicken which is the bowl and separating them into the chicken bowl she absolutely loves it and I love seeing her to this and it really works with her hard motor skills as well as putting shapes together

Bought this for my granddaughter instead of the standard block sorting cube that her father had as a kid. Comes in a small box (can tell that the toy is mass produced overseas and sold by several different companies on Amazon, as there are a million listings for this). The chicken and eggs are made of hard plastic. Inside the small eggs break open to reveal colors and shapes that can be matched up. Overall it's a cute toy that is different from the original shape sorter. Not sure it will last for a long time but it's a good temporary toy for a visit to grandma's.

This toy is a great way to teach matching and to work on fine motor skills. You can also work on colors and shapes as well. I used this in my k3 class as a one to one activity. After about a month of use one of the eggs the shape insert fell out. Easy fix I super glued it, however for the price I would have hoped it would have held up better. It's engaging and the kids enjoy it however.

Great for toddlers.I’m a preschool teacher and I use the mama hen on our circle time and toddlers love this toy.We sing the farm song and “los pollitos dicen” songs.They learned the shapes, colors, counting and also shape recognition, hand-eye coordination and they have improved their cognitive skills.Looks durable and the eggs are perfect size for the children hands.Will order a couple more to have enough for centers.
