A Pediatric Occupational Therapy Tool!!
Bax and His Bubbles has been an EXCELLENT tool for me to use in client sessions. As a pediatric occupational therapist, I am always looking for new ways to introduce, communicate and reinforce various social-emotional principles. The story of Bax and his THOUGHT bubbles creates relatable imagery for students as they seek to grasp the cognitive behavioral concepts involved in how to manage their thoughts! This book is a wonderful resource and can be of benefit for kiddos as young as 3 and as old as upper elementary/early middle school!

Positive life lessons Book
Bax and his Bubbles is such a wonderful positive book with such important life lessons that will be able to stay with a child through the rest of their lives. School children are bombarded with negativity by peers and sometimes adults in just those feelings of not being good enough in academics, sports and other areas and “Bax and his Bubbles” is a book than can help build a child’s self esteem and confidence since we are our own worst critics. Teachers can use this to teach kindness and getting along together in school in a positive environment which makes all the difference in the world for children. Parents can use the principles in the book at home to help their children believe in themselves and treat siblings and others in a positive way. “Bax and his Bubbles” is a wonderful book for children everywhere in any environment.

Love it!
This is such a cute book! What a creative way to help teach kids about negative vs positive thoughts. It normalizes that it's ok to have those thoughts but we can choose to let those negative or unkind thought bubbles go. It also includes some tips for parents and child discussion prompts. As a child therapist and mom of two young kiddos, this is easily my new favorite book! If you are a counselor, teacher, you work with young kids or have young kids yourself, I highly recommend you adding this to your collection!

GREAT story!
I thought this story was fantastic! We know that most kids enjoy blowing bubbles. Why not use something they love as a great way of teaching them an important life lesson? Bax imagined his thoughts were inside bubbles floating all around him. His mother taught him what to do with all those thoughts while letting him know that everyone has positive AND negative thoughts. That's okay. However, there are some thoughts worth keeping and some that we should probably let fly away in their bubbles. This story helps children understand which bubbles are important to keep and which ones we probably need to let go. I DEFINITELY recommend this to you and your young children.

Lovely story for kids
This is a lovely story that will help kids learn about their thoughts and emotions and how they can control them and let go of negative thoughts. I like how the thoughts are represented as bubbles and helps kids connect to it in an easy to understand manner.

This is such a sweet book!
This is such a sweet book!I have three boys that completely related to Bax and the situations he faces within the book.Sonia does a great job of communicating that both good and bad thoughts happen, but just because we think it doesn't mean we have to act on them. Not overly spiritual but gives practical steps for our kids to process and work through the thoughts they experience on a daily basis. The visualization of Bax's thoughts as bubbles is such a great way of communicating thought processes to kids. There have been more and more books about positive thinking and emotional understanding for kids, which is wonderful given mental health starts with our thought life. But knowing which ones truly help teach in a way kids can really understand can be daunting. Bax and his Bubbles is a great tool for all parents as they equip their kids for the mental battles of life.

Teaching Kids That They CAN Manage Their Thoughts
This is exactly the kind of simple but powerful message I wish I'd had when my daughter was younger, to help her sort through the self-defeating thoughts that often accompany attention deficit. Time and again, I've seen kids' behavior improve when they claim agency for managing their thoughts, instead of letting those thoughts manage them. I like this book's straightforward concept and bright--but not too busy--illustrations. I'm so happy to have added it to my library as a resource for building communication with the kiddos in my life and better understanding and helping them manage the thoughts that challenge them.

Wonderful
A beautiful story with amazing illustrations.. A very important message that all children need to hear. The illustrations captured the story perfectly and children will be able to relate and differentiate between positive thoughts and those negative ones that sneak up on all of us. Definitely, a book that needs to be in the hands of all little ones, teachers, and parents. The perfect addition to any library and classroom.
