Well, the first translated sentence doesn't bode well.«Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett einem ungeheuren Ungeziefer verwandelt.»This is translated as:«One morning, as Gregor Samsa was waking up from anxious dreams, he discovered that in bed he had been changed into a monstrous verminous bug.»Since I'm learning german, and I usually use a dictionary when I encounter a word I can't understand from the context or when I just want to be sure I'm translating it correctly. So, I went to check «ungeheuren» and it means enormous, not monstrous... I still haven't confirmed the rest of the translation, but when I skimmed it a bit, the English sounded strange... It's not my native language, but I've read 'harder' literary works in English, and something just seemed very off with the english text here and there.Perhaps it's purposefully translated that way. I don't know. I'll update this review as I continue my reading.

A very well presented book with clear and good sized text. Delivered quickly and I would not hesitate to buy from seller again. I am a German language beginner and bought the book to help with my learning. I might suggest buying a book which is more attuned to beginner's and in parallel text as, understandably from a classic, the language can seem quite complex. So I would say buy it but don't expect to really understand the language until you've studied more. It will become quite an achievement when you get to this level of German.
