I purchased this ice-maker for my son‘s little leagues clubhouse.The boys drinks get warm very quick during the hot summer days during their baseball games, which can sometimes go on for 3 hours.We have a team of 18 boys this year and this icemaker is perfect them!it’s unbelievably fast and the cubes are the perfect size to fit right into their water bottles.The tray fills up quickly so that by the time the second inning comes along we have a new batch ready to go.it’s also extremely easy to use, especially since I have it set up right next to the sink. We only have to pull out the Faucet head and fill it up to its indicated line. I didn’t even have to read the manual, ready to go right out of the box.make sure to not overfill, *the Machine will provide poor quality ice if you do.*it’s been in nearly constant Every weekend for the past month and holding up extremely well.it’s compact,quiet, very sleek and modern looking.Worth every penny, highly recommended!

Continuously running none stop, over time results in the ice machine burning out.

I have used this for only 3 days. But I've had it on constantly and I've tried the large and small cube.It is quiet while running, you can hear it but it's very subtle. The loudest part is the ice dropping into the basket like you'd hear in your kitchen freezer.It takes a VERY long time to get a basket of ice.9 pieces are made at once and they are tiny, this is as advertised tough. But i was inticed by the "ice ready in 6 minutes" instead of ice ready in 24 hours machines. That's literally why i picked this machine. Well for my group that 6 minute batch isn't enough for one cup. I now start it in the morning so that i have a basket when i need it. I am building up a supply in the freezer so it's ready ahead of time as well.My water at home isn't that great so i don't like my kitchen freezer making ice. I buy distilled water for this machine, the taste is good, it's not freezer burnt and tastes like the distilled water does.The style of this ice doesn't stay frozen long, the center is hollow. If you put it in coffee or warm tea it melted immediately and can ruin the taste of your drink. When i freeze it overnight it lasts a little longer BUT not like regular cubes. If you add it to something room temperature it does a little better but still melted fairly quick. You need a lot of ice to get things cold. I did use it for making smoothies and it did well for that, the smoothies also had frozen fruit but it was a good blend.I think this product would be optimal for people who like to add ice to their water bottles, or make things like snow cones or smoothies. They just aren't the right quality to use in mixed drinks, teas, or espressos.I probably would have picked a machine that makes bigger ice cubes. But this one does what it advertised it could do so not the companies fault that it doesn't suit my needs.For now I'll keep using it. My kids are enjoying it so it's not a loss. I'll likely be on the lookout for something different in the near future.

Our refrigerator ice maker’s motor stopped working right before the 4th and the repair was going to cost $500 so I purchased this amazing life saver. We had 25 people here all week and I kept the reservoir filled the entire week and we NEVER ran out of ice. It just kept cranking out ice as fast as we could use it, so much faster than my refrigerator freezer ever could. We usually would have to go buy ice and use up much needed freezer real estate.It surprisingly holds quite a bit of water and a little water goes a long way.When I first got it I was worried because the ice cubes were a bit soft but as I let it sit there and get the machine cold they hardened up nicely. I have the settings on large and they hold up very well in our drinks.The only con I have is the machine is a bit loud, but I have it on my island in the middle of my kitchen and it isn’t bothersome enough for me to take a star away.Just use a little warm soapy water and rinse before using the first time and I reclean about every other week to ensure my ice stays fresh and clean. I also use only the filtered water from fridge to fill the reservoir each time. Keep a bigger, reusable water bottle handy to make less trips back and forth.I am going to buy a 2nd one for my RV and highly recommend this as a daily user.*Update: May 2024. This ice maker is still kicking out ice and I absolutely still love it. They wanted $500 to fix my refrigerator ice maker and bought this instead… 3 years ago! Still making ice quickly and I don’t even hear it any longer.

We had one of these counter ice machines at work and I loved it! We didn't have an ice machine at home and we were always buying ice, so I decided this would help us save money. We have had this for a couple of weeks now and it's working great. It was very easy to set up and once we took it out of the box and filled it up with water, it started working immediately. It makes ice very fast... I want to say in about 6 min. It’s not very loud, the only time we hear it is when it dumps the ice. I like the little scoop that comes with it, but I don't really use it. The size of the cubes are nice, you can choose between two sizes, I prefer the large. This is a great addition to a home, especially if you use a lot of ice and don't want to have to constantly be buying ice.
