Great book for the money!
This book is pretty thick and packed with useful lessons for the beginner, in addition to providing a lot of great music that the beginner can play. It is mostly Bach, but it also has famous pieces from other composers as well. There's a good intro section before you start in on the actual pieces. And each piece has finger numbers assigned to the notes so that you play them with the correct fingering. Then at the end of the book there is an extensive appendix section covering basic music concepts like music theory, how to read treble and bass clefs, scales, arpeggios, etc. I really liked this book and would definitely recommend it.

NICE BOOK WITH A COUPLE OF CAVEATS
This book is perfect for my skill level, which is not absolute beginner (meaning I can already read music). But what I find frustrating about it is that he doesn't include the sharps and flats for the keys the piece are in in their correct place next to the clef at the start of each line. Instead he intersperses them throughout the piece. I suppose this is meant to make it easier for beginner players, but I actually find it makes thing more difficult, as instead of knowing at the beginning that this piece is in G major so you play an F# unless otherwise noted, your eye and brain get confused by them sprinkled throughout the piece. I actually think this is detrimental to learning music properly! I'm also not a big fan of the note name written inside each note. You should know your notes before you try playing even these relatively easy pieces. (And anyway, unless you have laser eyesight you can't read them!)

A Good Book to Have!
I like this book very much. However, there may be a slight exaggeration of what "beginners" means. In my opinion, a beginner is someone in the first 6 months- 1 year of consistently practicing the piano. Some of the pieces would cause a real "beginner" a lot of frustration. That said, for anyone who's been playing at least 8 months or so will like this book. It comes with access to online lessons on YouTube which are quite helpful. Also, The type sizein the book is fairly large. The note letters are printed inside of each note to help one along. The book is good and enjoyable other than the slight critique above.👍
