With a hot battery and a good solenoid, this starter will spin my engine so fast it slows down after starting.Working good for at least two years now and still going.

Pros: The starter itself worked great for my Briggs 19.5 Opposed Twin. Cons: the starter gear, like the original, is plastic. We'll see how long that lasts before it sheers. Also, the starter housing was about 1/2' longer. There is a sheet metal shield that interfered that I had to cut just slightly to get the starter to fit. Otherwise, it went in pretty much no problem. In fact, I was able to sneak it in without removing the flywheel. Just wrench the rear bolt in a little at a time and you'll avoid having to remove flywheel.

This starter is as good if not better than OEM, Save your money and buy this one, why pay more! It was a direct replace aftermarket starter what works perfectly. Local repair shop wanted $100+ for a used one, said they are rear, you can't buy them anywhere. I'm glad I did not listen to him, they are still common. I do recommend.

Fit perfectly in my 20.5 hp turbo twin cylinder briggs and stratton lawnmower engine, even though it isn't listed in the info. Starts up every time now. No more click click click to get it to start spinning.
