Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Finger Nail Polish Color Lacquer Set of 10

This a good price for 10 polishes. Buying them in the store would be like $6 or $7. I have to admit this is my favorite guilty pleasure. It is like gambling lol. For around $2 a polish this is such a fun way to try new colors!Disappointed in AMAZON packaging though. Twice I have ordered and gotten broken bottles. This is not the sellers problem. It is Amazon. The sellers allows returns so that is really nice. I was able to return the broken shipment and get a new one. So this review of the POLISH. NOT the shipping.This is my favorite polish ever. I am so sad it was discontinued. It goes on smooth and you do not need a lot to have a complete coverage. The below review is details of my polish collection and tips.I absolutely love this polish. I have used it for years. The nice thing about these polishes is that even after years they still perform as well as the new ones. I love how easy it is to apply. If I am in a hurry, one coat is fine. I like to take my time with my nails so I have steps I do when I polish them (below). I like to change my polish every week so chipping isn’t a problem for me. Also I wear gloves when I do dishes or clean to extend the life of my nails.I love that this polish dries fairly quickly if you don’t put it on too thick. I mean, put on a coat while watching tv or on the pc. Careful not to touch anything! But let it dry thoroughly. Then if you need a little more tint slap a little thin layer to make it pop. Also here are couple tips I learned through my years of doing nails. 1. Use the SH Complete Care 7in1 or 170 Clear'd for takeoff as a base coat. (I am pretty sure that is why it’s called that... it makes sense to me) I know they say you don’t need one with this polish, but really it is for easier removal. It makes your life so much easier! Especially with darker colors that seem to get in the creases and under your nail that are a pain to remove.2. Use a white polish (121 let’s snow for example) under any color to make that color really pop. You don’t need a really thick coat of white either. Just enough to give a canvas for the bright color to pop.3. This polish is a little thick so mind that when you apply it. Put one streak down the middle of your nail (your first application to each nail) this will be a little thicker then go to each side and touching the outskirts of the middle line to grab some of the excess there to spread to the sides.4. I use Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Top Coat as well to seal the color in if I am not using a Salon Manicure Glitter Overcoat. I think they both help preserve the color. 4b. I know glitter can be intimidating because it’s such a pain to get off. Don’t let that deter you. If you like the look of glitter go for it! There are polish removers designed for that now. As well as the polish remover in the jar that you put your finger in to remove color. There is one that has little ridges (or brushes) inside the center wall that help strip the glitter. Can’t tell you where or who. But I can say you probably have one in your town.5. For those of you that like a little shiny nail but not necessarily color. I use the 170 Clear’d for takeoff and add some drops of any sheer color (Arm Candy, Sheer Ecstasy, Sweet Talker, Shell We Dance, Pink Slip) it just looks like a natural nail with clear polish only it hides blemishes! And your nails look super awesome! I get compliments all the time about how healthy my nails look when I do that.I hope these tips help. These are things I have learned over the years. I love doing nails and I am glad to share the things I have discovered to save someone else some frustration or time.

I have NEVER had anything like this happen to me before. There were 10 bottles of nail polish. I will give the Seller that much. I will start with the colors. NOTHING like the picture, 4 out of 10 were shades of blue. One is so dark it looks black. Two are slightly different versions of light blue. The fourth one was dark blue glitter. Then there is a purple color that has no brush attached to the lid. A clear color that was meant to be clear, but it has a yellowish tinge to it as though it is VERY old. There is a white- ish color that just was runny. There is an orangey color that a teenager may wear, but that's just color nobody is at fault for that. The last two are one coral color, and one that has red in the name but doesn't look red on the nail. So the last three I described. I would call Orange. As far as consistency of the Polish itself, it is AWFUL. It seems like it was mixed with something it just doesn't go on well at all. My nails are natural and I love Sally Hansen products which is why I tried this. Don't waste your time. I wouldn't take these for free and I paid almost $30.00. This same deal is available from a different seller for half the money, if I had seen it, I probably would have bought it and then assumed I got what I paid for. I don't even want to return it, I just want to move on. I feel like I got taken. If this was Ebay I wouldn't be surprised, but I guess I expect more from Amazon, because I have always been Very Happy with everything I have gotten from Amazon. So if it's just this one time, I guess I am lucky. I wont buy from this Seller again, Ever. If you are thinking about purchasing this, think hard.

I’m very pleased with this product. The colors are an excellent selection for me. There were no glitters, no blues or greens or purples. Just a very nice selection of neutrals and some brighter red colors which is all I wear. Some others have complained about the selections they received, but when it’s random you get what you get. There were no broken bottles, but one did have some smears on it but nothing to affect the usability of the polishes. For the price, it’s an excellent purchase, Especially since in the drugstore they run seven to $10 apiece. If you can only use two or three of the polishes you get, you’re way ahead of the game!

I was so excited to get these. You don't get to pick which colors you get, but I liked all of the colors shown. When they arrived I found I didn't get much of a variety. I received two colors that are duplicates and all of them are shades of pink. I really wanted some variety and didn't expect to get duplicates, especially for the price. WON'T be buying again.

My initial review wasn't as positive but I did receive a response from the seller which is what I really wanted. I received the nail polish with one broken bottle in the bunch which was a bummer but I love all the other colors. The seller offered to refund me $2 for the broken bottle which is completely reasonable. I wanted to update my previous review but can not figure out how to do so...but I am posting the same picture. I think it's a great deal and the fact that they do try to make it right should you receive a broken bottle makes this a good purchase.

So this was a nice surprise for the money. I like the big bottles, colors are good enough, two coats and it wont come off for a week. 2 weeks on pedicures. My shipment had one broken bottle and one leaky bottle and two colors were the same, a weird Grey Stone duplicate and a Black (broken) duplicate. I gave the 3 good ones to a teenager and she was very happy. I LOVED the BLUE and the RED (leaked), but I got 6 decent colors. Five Stars if there were no Dupes and No Breaks/Leaks.
