THIS IS A TERRIFIC STORY ABOUT SMALL TOWNS, FAMILY AND LEARNING ABOUT LOVE
Wade is a retired NFL quarterback. He lives in Denver but his home town is Credence, a small town a few hours away. He has 3 Super Bowl rings. He is handsome, generous, smart, very wealthy and charming. He goes through women like they are tissues. He is a really good man, but relationships with women are not his strong suit.Cecelia (CC) is his PA, personal assistant. She has been his PA for nearly 6 years. CC is on duty 24 hours a day and she does everything for her boss. He has paid her exceedingly well, she has saved her money and she has plans. Her employment contract will be up shortly and she plans to move to California from Colorado. She wants to live where she can see the ocean and she has enough money that her dream is very near to coming true. When Wade’s father needs to have a pacemaker, Wade decides that he and CC are moving to his small Colorado home town. He can help on the family hog farm and he will be near his family if they need him. It is a win - win situation. Realizing that his father is vulnerable, makes Wade re- evaluate his life. He has taken life for granted and suddenly he realizes that we never know what lies ahead.CC is not crazy about the idea, but they negotiate a settlement and she will be on her way to California shortly.Being in a different atmosphere makes both CC and Wade look at things in a new light. They also begin to look at one another in a new light.Wade’s mother is on the town council and the council has a plan to get single women to come to town. The town’s population is slowly shrinking and new blood is a necessity. The men in town are more than happy to welcome available women. This is a sweet story about family relationships, friendship and learning to love. CC came from a terrible family situation and Wade has a most loving family. The small town welcomes CC quickly and she begins to help with all the plans to draw single women to Credence. She learns about what it feels like to bottle feed a piglet. She falls in love. And then there is the young Border Collie who falls in love with her immediately. And that love is returned.I like this book very much.CC and Wade are wonderful characters. The secondary characters add a great deal to the story. We get to meet Wade’s family and they are terrific. Then there are Wade’s friends from high school. And of course the town folks add a great deal to the story.Everyone seems very real. These people share a history, they share humor, but they also share their true feelings about life. This is the first book I have read by Ms Andrews, but it will not be the last.

All the feels!
This was my first book by this author. It hooked me from the first page. Everything you want- romance, wit, good looking male characters, smart female characters. So glad this is a series. Will be reading the others!

Insensitive much?
Being the PA to a womanizer ex-football pro is not a job for anyone without a strong grip on a goal and the strength to do anything including working 24/7-365 to achieve it. CC definitely has it and with her entitled boss in spades. But she has reached the point for escape and getting out of the slave contract early but our hero(?) wants to keep her tied to him tight. And so it begins, the negotiations and fight for control. Who'll win?? CC or Wade. Read on for the fun. 18+ readers get the nod.

Simply a lovely story with all the right feels and great bunch of characters I want to go visit
Where do I begin?I love it. This story is about a full-of-himself retired NFL quarterback, Wade, and his exasperated-with-her-boss PA, Cecelia or CC. (Does he not know how to buy condom for himself?) Its about their weird relationship. She organizes his life down to the miniscule details and keeps him well stocked with his obsession with Nerds. He has her at his beck and call so much he's even had her run out at 3 am to buy condoms. But in turn CC is not a Yes Woman. She gives it to him straight and let's him have it. They bicker so much it's as if they were married which is pointed out to them much to their chagrin. It's similar to Susan Elizabeth Philips' stories where the overly confident football player needs to be cut down to size by the one woman who can.But its also about so much more. It's about the quirky little town Wade is from, Credence. It's about Wade's still in love with each other parents. It's about the big brother Wyatt and his need to find love. It's about the rest of the town characters who burrow a hole into my heart. Reminisent of Susan Mallery's Fools Gold series, this town needs fresh blood and an overhaul. Slowly people are leavimg town for better prospects in other places. So the town board comes up with an idea to bring in many people, specifically female, and entice them to start a much needed business in town. And in turn possibly find love matches which will help the population grow. They enlist help from CC and start a very smart campaign to lure women to the town. I hope to say that there will be more in this series because I'm already invested in some side characters.Simply a lovely story with all the right feels and great bunch of characters I want to go visit. Thank you Amy

Laugh out loud funny!
4 1/2 STARS!NOTHING BUT TROUBLE is the first book in the Creedence, Colorado series by Amy Andrews and it is laugh out loud funny! The story revolves around a former NFL quarterback and his long-time personal assistant in a delightful boss/employee to lovers story.Cecilia AKA CC is a super fun character. She truly likes Wade as a person, but she's getting so fed up with being at his beck and call 24/7 that she's ready to throw in the towel. It just so happens that her investments have paid off and are handing her the opportunity gift-wrapped ... she just has to work up the willpower to tell Wade she's leaving.Wade is delightful! He's hot, sexy, kind-hearted and just enough of a spoiled man-child that we have to crack up time and again at some of his antics. I couldn't have enjoyed this guy more.I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys snarky comedy mixed into their romance. If this is any indication of what Creedence, Colorado is going to be like, I'll be jumping on the future books in the series bandwagon right away!

A great read!
I enjoyed this first-time-author-for-me story. You actually get 2 romances in one! Sassy characters (looking forward to reading about Wade's friends' stories), witty banter and a hilarious small town solution to their declining population. A great read!

Wade is a hoot and CC deserves her HEA
This was a fun read. I have to admit I loved Wade; he was just so deliciously egotistical and sure of himself. Cecelia (CC) is his PA /Girl Friday, and she has had enough of handling the multiple broken hearts Wade leaves a trail of as he enjoys life as a famous retired quarterback.Wade is thrown for a loop when CC resigns, and his dad ends up in hospital needing heart surgery. Wade recognises he has taken both his family and CC for granted and puts a plan into action to return to his home town of Creedence. He convinces CC to return with him for a pile of money and a commitment that after three months she can leave his employment. So a return to Creedence a town with a severe shortage of woman and a home that Wade bought that resembles Tara of Gone with the Wind fame. From there on it's a charming witty story of Wade learning not to be so self-obsessed, CC loving country life and the two of them discover in a slow burn romance they are a magical partnership. Wade's first grand gesture was an epic fail which I absolutely loved. Growing Wade up takes a lot of time and loads of trouble. There is one subplot in the story I loved and I suspect everyone will enjoy. It's charming and sweet and added to the quality and magic of this romance.

All the feels
This was such a fabulous book. I was sorry that I had to stop reading to do those pesky things like go to work...The build up of the romance between the main characters is so well done. When you first meet them you’re thinking “how can they possibly end up together?” But the development of the story, the passion that they are both hiding and the fact that they are just plain perfect for each other is just so good.Throw in a town full of wonderfully caring people (don’t forget all the “hotties”), a grand scheme to rebuild the town by inviting single women from all over America, and the folks in the old folks home who want to help, this book had me in stitches, crying, and wanting to adopt a pet piglet.Looking forward to hearing Drew, Tanner and Arlo’s stories and meeting more people from Credence Colorado in future books.

What a ride! Love it
Love this book to pieces. Wade and CC love their story. Nothing but trouble - is a delightful read, one pain in the ass demanding boss, one sassy PA drops a bombshell he never saw coming. She wanted out. He wants her to stay. Ending up in his old town Credence, Colorado. It will make you laugh, cry and sigh, great secondary characters that make it such a hometown good fun read. Some times it takes a long time for the penny to drop, Wade! lol. Can't wait to read Amy's second book - The trouble with Christmas.

Wow! I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book!
Wow! I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book! I adored the characters, I loved the small town charm, and ate up the simmering attraction between Wade and CC. I also loved the secondary romance in this novel but I won't give anything away here. I found myself grinning and chuckling frequently through this book. The author's style is so down to earth, easy to read and relatable. I can't wait for the next book in this series! There are plenty more hunky men in this town in need of some romance and this first book in the series has paved the way for them beautifully.
