The Haywire: A Brief History of the Manistique and Lake Superio Hardcover – Illustrated, 30 May 2005

The book is written in enough detail to be in-depth and interesting, but not laden down with enough jargon to be unreadable to a layman. The pictures are reproduced in a decent enough quality too, all are black and white however. There is also an appendix of data that lists things like stations, mileage, and goods carried by the railroad.

Very well written documentation of a railroad that went through many changes. I really enjoyed reading this book and recommend it for any who love early railroad history.
