It works if yo can figure how to make it work
second review! My new balls just came< the best you can buy hardest and most round. Yes they were the big bucks? Buy the 40 ball packs, if that helps? Not one bad throw. I have to be honest The Butter fly balls are as good. I just wanted to make sure. I was't sure what ball came with table. If you are? Buy another 100 up front. Unless you're on the Olympic team? A 200 count will do just fine. That was the best 10 minute work out since I stoped playing at the Balboa San Diego club 15 years ago. It can hit soft, then throw a slam at you. It does not point the throwing arm towards where the ball is headed, like my old one did. You have to be in the ready position each time. Very good for an old guy like me. On the lighter side. My dog doesn't want to chase and bit holes in these balls. If you want to become a better player? This the way! I would say read the manual three times. Try and get it to launch a ball. Then read again! For me this was to much trial an air mostly mistakes. At least 5 resets. You really need the exact, and I mean EXAECT same type of balls . I just bought $380 of whatever. They tell you that! believe it. I should have looked on U-tube. I am sure someone would have made this less pain full. If I was 16 years of age this might have been a no brainer. I am 74. maybe that says it all. I Have had a really good, need a towel to keep the sweet out of my eyes work out. Figure it out, get your parents or club to cough up $400 big ones on balls, and go at it.

Good Trainer But Need Help on Calibration/Adjustment + App Need Improvement!
I purchased the Amicus Prime about two months ago. Overall speaking, it is a good machine. I used it as part of my daily exercise. It is a heck more fun than riding on a exercise bike. Since day 1, I noticed the balls are not as consistent as someone claimed in the comments. (Note: I use only Butterfly 40+ balls). I learned to reset the machine every time I change the exercise. That helps a little but the problem persists. I looked at the Butterfly website and found that Butterfly sells a wheel adjustment gauge to check the wheel alignment. Unfortunately, there is only a value description how to use it. I need more than that!BUTTERFLY, PLEASE POST A YOUTUBE VIDEO SHOWING HOW TO USE THE WHEEL ADJUSTMENT GAUGE. I don't think that is too much to ask for a 2K machine!Another issue is the app. C'mon guys. It is not that hard to make this simple app work better. It hangs occasionally without reason.

Excellent robot. Like the tablet display.
I like the new tablet display on the amicus prime. Easy to see and modify exercises. Easy to operate. Lots of options.I have a prior button style amicus pro model and it was pretty good, if a little inconsistent. Before setting up this new one I put used nittakau JTop practice balls into the Pro and it performed much better. This new Prime came with butterfly practice balls which are supposedly clean and robot ready, but it was pretty inconsistent. I put in the JTops and now it works fine. Maybe the butterfly balls needed to be washed. Maybe they are not as round. I don’t know. I haven’t washed the butterfly balls to see if that would help.My Pro had a horrible manual. The prime manual is very good. In fact excellent. Somebody gave it considerable thought and probably road tested it.I feel setup is easy, but then I have the somewhat different Pro so not much came as a surprise. So I give it 5 stars.

Not worth the price
not worth the price.First of all, it works, which is expected. Two major issues:First, it looks cheap. The plastic is easy to break, and it just does not look like a product with a 2000+ price tag. The same amount of money I could buy a fancy peloton bike.Second, all the supporting pieces, especially the tablet and the app is just a scam. Tablet worth 0 in the market and the app is like from last century. It seems the manufacturers just did not put effort on those but wishing to sell it at the highest price on the market.Disappointed

Good but somewhat disappointed
The robot is very solid, well built and versatile. You can create different exercises and sequences. Many options to work with.Unfortunately, ball placement is not always reliable. You have to clean the surfaces that direct the ball frequently and often reset the head of the robot. Even then, ball placement isn’t always consistent which really disrupts the exercise. The android app seems to work better than the one for the iphone. But the tablet that comes the Robot isn’t very good so I’ve been using my iPhone. When changing the exercises the settings don’t change immediately and you have to save, leave the exercise and go back in to make sure changes were made.Overall robot is good but given price you would expect better performance in terms of ball placement.

Easy calibration accurate ball delivery
I wanted to spend a little time before offering my opinion on the Amicus. Well, I love my Amicus, well worth the cost! This is the ping pong robot to get if you're looking for a reliable consistent way to practice your game or just get some good exercise. This bad boy works just fine outdoors while grilling in the yard. With a little tweak on the calibration side (faster speed) Amicus can overcome a light breeze, even a little more than a light breeze and delivers the ball accurately every time. A light hit with the blower helps to keep it and the table bug free during play.

Fantastic ping pong trainer
This is a fantastic trainer. I am not sure what people are complaining about. I was worried before spending 2000+ dollars but knew that I could return if there were problems and took the plunge. Don’t buy the models other than Prime. It has a tablet and it makes creating new excercises very easy and it’s very easy to use. I use it 3-4 times a week and it is now coming very useful in lockdown during Coronavirus time. If money is not a constraint, go ahead any buy this. There is no better Robot available in market. The build quality is solid. The balls (kevenz, Mapol, Franklin) that cost about $10 for 50 work well. I have mixed balls from 4 Chinese brands sold at AmaZon and those work very well. No need for expensive butterfly balls.
