I have a few boonie hats. My head is shaven so I need these in hotter weather used together with bandanas. This is certainly the cheapest and probably the best one I own. Why? Because it's a properly designed piece of kit; high quality and functional.The brim is stiffer than others and slightly wider; important because it doesn't 'flop' and keeps your midge net away from the face more effectively (important here in bonnie Scotland!).Style wise, I prefer not to look like an army squaddie and this hat has more of an Aussie bush hat type of look. And the rear cord cinch together with the chin cord is ideal for keeping it snugly on the head.All together an excellent piece of kit at half the price of other providers I could name. Get one...!

Looks great, good fit, breathable, keeps head cooler than most. Kept sun off, love the colour too.

This is a good wide brimmed hat that will keep the sun out of your eyes and ears and will fold up very small I like the ventilation panels that allow a good flow of air over your head.I only awarded four stars as I do not like the chin strap as it’s not able to be pull up around the hat brim out of the way.

Thought I'd bought the correct fit, but it was a tight fit with headband strap fully extended. Nothing on label to tell me size except 58 - 100% Cotton - Made in China ?!!!

I was concerned before receiving the hat.But actually, putting it on and clipping the sides up made me wanna spit tobacco on a soldier's boot, proclaim myself to be a certain kind of "Ty-Rrrhanna-Sawosss", jump out of a helicopter, shoot a 6 barrel minigun machine gun through a hot, South American jungle whilst being hunted by a predatory, spider-faced alien.Great hat.It's light weight, breezy and keeps the sun off of one's face during walks outside of jungles.
