Selected Poems

I have always liked the Spanish language. I took several courses years ago in college & now that I'm retired, I have some free time to review the literature, poems, history & the language of Spain. I like bilingual books as it helps in that review. Lorca's life was cut short {murdered} because of the Spanish Civil War but he was loved by many and viewed as a great poet....I have Neruda, others but this is my first by Lorca. TKS..

Everything is here, with the classic translations; closer to the original Spanish than more recent attempts to "modernize" the work.My only complaint is that the type and the book itself are a little small for comfort. But a nice design, and the picture of FGC is arresting. It's always good to know what the author looks like.

Beautiful selection of poems by great Spanish master poet

It seems pretentious to be assigned stars to a review of Lorca's work. He was one of the greats of 20th century literature and his work still resonates today. Period.
