and lack of efficiency in the design with power being wasted as heat
Does the job but this device just runs way to warm for my liking. Poorly designed electronics, and lack of efficiency in the design with power being wasted as heat. In the end i powered my CCD via a direct 12v power block. I never really felt comfortable leaving this on 24/7 in my private home. I can only also confirm that the device came with a 13A fuse in the plug which when powering up to a 30W device ( since that is what this injector is designed for says) says it all really (totally stupid and unsafe). You could run this on a 1A BS fuse if you could still get them. Cheap chinese import (says Made in china on the device) and not really a good product. I'd rather pay £40 for something well made and efficient and safe really.

Provides network flexibility for CCTV
This product is great for security purposes. Is has been well thought through and ideal for modular systems.Ie.1. Its single device, that can be fixed together into a string.2. Single devices allow simple exchange in event of damage3. The devices can be place in different locations... near routers or far away near cameras...etcI think it creates a great flexible system.

Ideal
I have been using this for a few weeks now and it's working great - Just plug it in and off you go. Yes, it gets warm but not hot, I needed it for a mitel phone for SIP and it works perfectly for that. It's got slots in the back for screws so you can mount it which I've done also. Works like a charm :-)

This works well with my ptz ip camera
This powers my ptz camera through the ethernet cable perfectly. The one I had before was not Powerful enough as the camera needs 25w. very happy with this one.
