B & K 105-904NL 3/4" Key Stop Valve

I was glad someone still sells these stop and waste valves. Our customers have peer and beam houses. The only reason you would need this type of valve.

If you're wondering why this valve is $10 cheaper than others, I found out the hard way. When I pressurized the water line and opened the valve, I quickly found out that the valve internals were installed backwards. The discharge port was active on the pressure side when the valve was closed AND open. It was a simple enough fix to unbolt the bottom, pull the internals, and reinstall them the correct way. However, the pain of installing a faulty valve (and the mess it made), uninstalling it, fixing it, and finally reinstalling it, was worth way more than the $10 I saved.If you're wondering, a fully pressurized discharge port is pretty much a pressure washer nozzle. So if you decide to save $10 or whatever prices are running, make sure you check out the internals before you install the valve on a pressurized line.

Valve has a narrow slot (1/4") for the water to flow, and what's worse... I just installed it and it leaks. I am a plumber and know how to tighten the nut and/or rebuild the valve, but those things tont work if the valve itself is faulty. The supply houses are closed on the weekend and home depot and lowes don't carry this item, so I'm screwed.**UPDATE** The seller refunded my money since the valve was defective.

I purchased 4 of these for draining sprinkler lines. Of the 4, two have broken. One had a stripped set screw and the other one the top twisted off as I turned it to drain the pipes. Now I have to dig them all up to replace them all.

Turns so hard that I felt it would break the pcv pipe I was to install it on. Also flow passage is so small it would severely restrict flow. Return it.

A piece of junk, not worth returning it though. Very poorly made
