This is truly an outstanding product! I do not typically write follow-up reviews on Amazon, but I felt the crew at Max and Neo (as well as prospective buyers) should know they make an excellent leash. My fiance and I have the derpiest 75lb female pitbull that has ever walked this planet, with only love and loyalty in her heart. At three years old, she has lots of energy, and gets especially wiggly whenever strangers give her attention. This ALWAYS results in her going after the leash, by means of chewing, gnawing, and tugging. Nine times of out ten, we end up using the leash to play a brief game of tug-of-war. It has been well over a year now since I ordered my first leash, and the only reason I recently ordered a second was so that I could have a spare. However, the first is still structurally sound. The traffic loop is mostly ripped from its base, but a lot of the fluorescent stitching still remains throughout. None of the stitching holding the main body of the leash together has given way, nor does it appear even close to doing so. The metal clasp and bracket are still holding strong, and I especially love the inclusion of the D-ring for poop bags and house keys. Overall, I would highly recommend this leash based solely on the durability alone. For anyone with powerful dogs that like to tug or chew the leash, this is a must have.

Great leash! high-quality, thick & strong material and I love the padded handles. The short handle works great out in public for my Son's service dog.I purchased this leash 2 months ago. I've seen reviews of leashes that have rips or tears & blame poor design or materials. This is what happened to mine. Looks the same as the other pictures, right? Guess what...MY DOG CHEWED ON THE LEASH!!!I didn't blame the seller to try and get a free one, I went and purchased a new one!

This is a great quality, heavy-duty leash. My only complaint is that the double traffic handle is located to low for small dog owners to use properly without playing a game of Twister while walking your dog. I wish there had been a size range for the handle placement, the average adult with a smaller dog is going to hate where the traffic handle is located. I find myself hating that I bought it but I love the safety reflectors that are built into the leash and the sturdiness of it so we walk on. I love the Max & Neo philosophy of helping shelters and rescues with my purchase. Thank you for the concept of the leash.

I really like this leash. The padded handles are very comfortable to hold, and I use the second "short" handle when my dog and I are crossing the street or when she's a bit crazy and I need more control. (I adopted her three weeks ago and our first session with the trainer isn't for another two days.) I am 5'9" and my dog is medium-sized, and the short handle is at the perfect height for me. If you are a bit taller or your dog is shorter, it may not work well for you.I was going to give the leash five stars, but this morning as we were walking in the rain, my dog gave herself a big shake and suddenly I realized the leash had disconnected from her harness. Luckily it was during a calm moment and I was able to reconnect her quickly. If she had picked up a scent or had seen another dog across the street, I shudder to think what would have happened.

Fantastic leash! Not bulky (surprisingly lightweight and easy to fold up for storing yet very durable), soft padded handles, sturdy clip. The second lower handle is extremely convenient for getting quick control of your dog in crowded situations. There's even a metal ring just below the top handle to hang your poop bag container on. Best of all there's reflective stitching on both sides that really stands out when lights shine on it. A professional well designed leash. Kudos to the manufacturer for making what may just be the worlds perfect leash.

This is THE best leash available for use with a Pit Bull. Clarence is 15-months old and weighs 67 pounds. He is the sweetest dog I have ever owned, and I have owned many sweet dogs including two American bulldogs. He is as strong and energetic as he is sweet, which makes him the strongest dog I have owned. Prior to finding this leash, we went through six retractable leashes. Clarence can strip the gears on the retractables, and can jam them beyond repair. My wife encouraged me to try this leash. It is perfect and is as rugged and strong as Clarence is. While Clarence behaves well, there are times when he spots a rabbit or squirrel on a walk through the farm and attempts to run after it. That is the nature of any dog. I have no desire to discipline him for following his nature, only to restrain him so that he does not harm himself. This leash allows me to do that with confidence. If you own a strong dog like a Pit Bull, I discourage the use of a retractable leash and STRONGLY encourage this product from Max and Neo.

I bought this Leash along with the Martingale Collar for my dog because hsr other one broke. I first loved the mission of the brand, buy 1 and 1 is donated to a dog in need. Then I recieved the product, it really is great quality gear! The webbing is strong/durable with 2 lines of reflective stitching and all the metal hardware is thick making me feel confident this one won't break! Highly recommend purchasing all dog accessories by this company Max and Neo! I am truely a satisfied customer and will forever be loyal to the brand.

This is the best leash money can buy. It's robust, strong and durable. The only problem I have with it is the little rubber badge that displays the logo, near the loop. I usually loop the leash twice around my wrist and sometimes, when my dog pulls, the badge corners rubs into my skin. It's a minor annoyance and I'll most likely cut the badge out. It would've been enough if they had the logo stitched into the leash or a small tag some where else. But highly recommended, this leash is a keeper.
