Love Thy Enemy - Keeping That Enemy Close To Heart!
The Red Stone Security Series by Katie Reus is one of my top favorites to-go-to-when-I-need-a-lift-kind of books, and I’ve revisited times innumerable, utterly captivating, intense and full of passion and danger.“Love Thy Enemy” is another intense and passionate love story bringing Dominique Castle into the sight of Viktor Ivanov. Employed with Red Stone Security and under their family circle, Dominique is making a new life leaving a painful past; a past that is connected to Viktor’s father and a past that gives caution to her fluttering heart when she sees Viktor.Viktor and his brother Abram have toiled night and day to erase the past of evil that connects them. Working hard to make sure their lives and business are legitimate, they have come long ways in reaching the pinnacle of success with sheer determination. And that determination is what Viktor is fielding to get close to Dominique and prove that his present is as good as it can get.As attraction flares, so does danger that puts Dominique in the crosshairs of a past that lost everything and wants to avenge by taking away the love that Viktor has by his side. As Viktor moves heaven and earth to keep Dominique safe, Abram gets his own story as he falls in love with Lucy, Viktor’s assistant.Another wonderful love story, and I just loved Viktor; maybe because I believe in second chances and we become what we are depending on our circumstances and not so much of blood relations and Viktor sets that example. The relationship between brothers is solid and loved their dynamics.“Love Thy Enemy” is a quick and a really, really captivating story and the cover is gorgeous!!!!

She wants nothing to do with Viktor who she assumes is just like his mobster father
Dominique Castle has been on her own since she was 18 but she's made a life for herself working at Red Stone Security and she loves her friends. So when she runs into Viktor Ivanov her world is shaken. Dominique blames Viktor's father for the gambling debt that destroyed her parents and eventually lead to their divorce and her mother's suicide. She wants nothing to do with Viktor who she assumes is just like his mobster father. Viktor's past is checkered but he believes there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed, which is why he's always hated his father. When he first sees Dominique he's immediately attracted but once he realizes who she is, he feels remorse for what his father put her family through. Both of these characters are used to keeping a hard shell around their emotions, so their romance was a bit of work. Dominique doesn't trust Viktor, rightly so, and believes he's a monster like his father. But with time she realizes that he's actually protective, honorable, and caring and though this happens relatively easily, Dominique is still smart about how she handles things. She's clearly a headstrong and confident woman but with Viktor she feels like she can relax and be taken care of. I did want to know more about Viktor's past because several times Katie Reus alludes to a more criminal lifestyle but we don't really get any details. It's clear that Viktor has turned thing around and he keeps things legal but past enemies coming after him is a big part of the storyline. There is also a side romance with Viktor's brother and business partner who is crushing hard on their efficient assistant. Overall, this was a quick read but it just doesn't stand out for me. It's probably the book in the series I was the least invested in.3 out of 5 starsReader Safety: References to sexual slavery and suicide of side character

Great Stand Alone Addition to Series
Love Thy Enemy is book 13 in the Red Stone Security Series by Katie Reus. While this is book 13 in the series it can be read as a stand-alone but there are characters from previous books that appear or play parts in this book. I think that you get a better understanding of the characters interactions, if you read the entire series but that is my personal opinion and not really necessary. I enjoyed the plot of this book – there was suspense and some misunderstandings between the characters. The plot was well written and fast paced. The characters were believable and, for the most part, likeable. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good, fast paced romantic suspense – with a bit of the past rearing it’s head. A solid four and half stars.

Disappointed 2 1/2 - 3 *
I hate it, but I'm disappointed with this one. I was really looking forward to this book. Viktor and Diminique seemed really interesting in the last book. Very mysterious and I couldn't wait to read it, but I feel let down. This is a short book. Abram and Lucy got too much page time. This book was not long enough for two couples. I would have rather the author given them their own book. Nothing and no one was fleshed out. We don't get to hear Dominique and Viktor talk about how his father died and exactly how. His tattoos, his scars. Bad guy seemed like fluff and not scary at all. The ending seemed rushed.I noticed in the last book the the author gave other couples page time then also. I wasn't crazy about it then, but it really bothered me in this book. I hope this is not something the author is going to keep doing. These books are not long enough for two couples.I really love the author's books. She has so much talent. I just prefer either longer books or one couple per book.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!
This book is up there with one of the best storie of the series. Dominique has been trying to forget her past and anyone related to her past. So when the son of the man who killed her mum trys to make admends she is not going for it.Viktor want's to know why the beauty he sees around the Red Stone people ingores him and looks like she wants to see him dead. So, he looks into her and finds out what his father did to her family.Viktor wants to make it up to Dominique, he wants her to see Viktor as him not as the enemy. As he tries to get to know her and crack her ice shell the more he wants of her. The more time spent together the more Dominique sees Viktor as the man trying to wrong a right that was not his fult in the first place. When Dominique's life is in danger because of Viktor, he vows to protect her weather she likes it or not. As time goes on secrets about her mother comes to light.Fantastic book. I read this book in one day beacuse I could not put it down. It had me gripped and if I'm honest I wasn't really sure if I wanted to read this book or not but I am so glad I did because it was just awsome and you read not just about Viktor but about his brother also. Great read you will not be dissapointed.

Warrior mine
Oh Katie just ticks all the boxes, characters you'll love with feisty story lines that set your pulse racing as the adrenalines flows. The fast action paced scenes leave you wanting more. I love the way she crafts her stories that are very current with the troubles of today. I have a series of movies in my head now that are just waiting to be rerun. These will be books I read again, not just for the romance but for the gritty storyline that runs in the back ground. When trouble abounds these fierce men will fight with everything they have and everything they are.
