Sneaky quiet little beast will fool you!
I’m in the middle of Hurricane Florence right now in NC. There are over half a million of us out of power and many, many others with intermittent power flickering in and out I’ve heard.Bought this last winter during that crazy storm we had when we were out of power and after a day or so, we gave up and bought a generator from a friend of mine [he owns a couple of Ace Hardware stores, and we are good friends (traveled together before for almost 3 weeks in Asia on business and a lot of days for sightseeing fun] so we know each other pretty darn well), and when he rented a big truck and drove up to Virginia, and brought back a huge truckload that was 100% spoken for and paid for in advance, I jumped at the chance for him to find a way to pack one more On the truck somehow me. He gave it to me for a few points over cost, so I got it for basically roughly the amazon price. His cost on these units is around 300 bucks or a teeny bit over as an Ace Dealer. So the margin is very tight. It was a labor of love, and we usually rough it, so this time we jumped on it when he offered. As soon as we got home, laid out the extension cords, fueled her up, got the power strips all laid out and organized and everything ready, I went and fired it up. BEAUTIFUL! Immediately appreciated the quality. You can hear it and feel it. Like a really nice old go cart motor sound form the late 60s or early 70s. Let me tell you. Sweet, and you know you have an honest to goodness real piece of [American Made] quality hardware like they used to make. And then, of course, we all know what happened next. POWER CAME BACK ON LITERALLY WHILE I REACHING TO PLUG IN THE FIRST LOAD. Wow. I had just plugged in the first cord, went inside and plugged in the first surge protector, and then I reached for the light I was about to plug in, and boom. The entire house came alive. So, this is the first time she’s been loaded down and doing what she was born to do! She has never been happier You can feel it I swear!!!We have 7 more gallons of ethanol-free gasoline to put in her when she starts running low later this morning! (Its 12:26 AM right now.) she runs like a beast on 89 octane ethanol free gas. Like a BEAST. 2500 watts continuous my behind. More like 3500-4k continuous and 5-6k peak if you ask me.I mean we hardly even noticed it adjusting itself to the first loads. So quiet. We haven’t managed to load it down enough to have any issues with voltage levels, and we have very expensive and sophisticated power conditioners plugged in that have less indicating voltage levels and we have stayed in the green. Close to the very first yellow leds but still in the green.I’m so excited right now. Lights are all bright and we are loving this thing. We love it so much we are gonna start taking it with us now. Camping, music fests, etc.I feel like He-Man! I. HAVE. THE POWER!!!If you need the bigger models, what can I say? You are balling. I don’t have any issues, but then, I don’t live in a castle, and our needs are really quite simple. We have one of those super nice but VERY affordable little portable stoves that run on butane cans, so we doing need much electricity to cook. Such a great excuse to bust her out. That thing is nice (bought it here) and made in Japan. Very efficient and runs forever on the butane cans. 12 packs are the way to go, very economical. This is actually pretty fun! Scary, but we are in great spirits considering. And this generator is a huge part of that. Camping out in our own house with power can actually be fun if you’re prepared and these convenience should help maintain a small degree of normalcy and take everyone’s mind off of the situation amd devastation outside. Hurricane Flo you are not gonna get us down!!! Go away you mean *****!UntilThen, it’s more Netflix! We have the whole entertainment center going, amplifiers/receivers and all!!!👍🏼💯🔥👍🏼💯👍🏼💯🔥🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you PowerBoss and Briggs and Stratton!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
