Q: Does this come with an instruction book or DVD? I was told you have to have an account with them in order to learn to play music with the bells?

The bells themselves don't come with a membership. However, Prodigies offers memberships to over 400+ video music lessons that use these bells. They have some content for free at https://www.youtube.com/user/psprodigies and you can demo Prodigies at www.prodigiesmusic.com/start and enroll for a membership at www.prodigiesmusic.com/enroll.

Q: Someone trying to sell this to me second hand. And I wanted to check if the box it comes in blue?

If you buy these bells on Amazon from RhythmBand, they come in a pink box that says "Chroma Notes Desk Bells." If you buy them from www.prodigiesmusic.com, they come in a blue box with the Prodigies branded logo.

Q: Are these exactly in tune? Has anybody checked?

We play them with the Prodigies videos and the pitches match.

Q: Are the bells labeled on top? Perfect match to Prodigies?

The letter names and scale degrees are on top of the part you push to play the bell. For example: C 1, D 2, etc. These bells work great with Prodigies--the colors are the same and they are very durable.
